To Smile-level "success"? Maybe. To actual success? Nah

I think any future releases is a potential rebound attempt, she just needs the right music

This is also why she decided to work with Dr. Luke.

She is pushing him out of the industry by sacrificing herself. She knows that this sacrifice is only temporary, and she will be back.

Lifetimes is not a message to Daisy like she said, but a message to the industry. She will find her way back in the next life of her career, reborn.

She was sending us a message. She is not a butterfly. She is a phoenix. She knew the only way to get him out of the industry and release so many people from his contracts was only something she could do, as his most high profile collaborator.

She released Woman's World not as an anthem, but as a threat, to Mr. Luke. Gottwald. Its a woman's world, and he is lucky to be living in it. She said it herself: Sexy, confident. So intelligent. She is heaven-sent. So soft, so strong. She's a winner, champion

Now he knows. He is a panned flop commercially now, as well as critically. He will never work again. In a years time, we will thank her. And she will have a collab released with Kesha.

Why do I actually see the vision-

No the GP moved and that's okay. Not every pop star is going to serve longevity

But Teenage Dream will always be one of the greatest albums of all time…  :clap3: now let her career RIP

she could try to pull a Post Malone and do a country album with collabs with everybody and their mothers:sistrens:

Nah, I don't think she'll be as successful as she was in 2013, but if she works hard on writing better pop songs that feel more real, she could maybe reach a level similar to Kylie Minogue. Overall good numbers and demand for concerts. Like others have said, she should drop Dr. Luke and work with different people. If she does that, I can see her peaking at #15 on charts, like "Never Really Over" did.

This could've been her rebound but she ruined it by collabing with Dr Luke. If she hadn't it may not have been huge but she would've had some decent moderate hits which I would have considered a success given where she's at.

If she does a whole era about realising she was internally misogynistic and healing from that I would be gagged.

Very very unlikely. The best she could do now is just reinvent herself and try to deliver a good received album for once. Something she should have done after Prism

Absolutely not - she's so over :toofunny2:

I'd say maybe she'll finally take this latest mega flop as reason to give up on pop and do the acoustic direction she's always wanted... But she is a clown and NEVER learns nor evolves, so she'll attempt another goofy, kidsbop, lame, hideous mess in another 4-6 years

I think there's still a path. People love a good "renaissance" narrative. But at this point it's pretty clear she's not capable of it. I don't trust her judgement at all. She's just not an intelligent person.

I said it years ago and i'll say it again

Katy will never see success in music again

Here's a glimpse of The Katy Perry Revival Package:

1. Greatest hits era. She'll release an album with unreleased tracks from TD and Prism along with remixes and top 10s.

2. Special live performance on Terri Joe's TikTok with Terri Joe. So camp. Terri won't even need to leave her wheelchair.

3. Trademark the word "woman" and send all proceeds to the United Women's Foundation.

4. Become a full time featurette. She'll be on everyone's chorus.

This 143 year plan will ensure her comeback.

Like others have said you can rebound from 1 flop era but 3 in a row idk.. She can start a path to redemption. Release a solid album that isn't catered toward charts or chasing trends, earn some goodwill but this route will take a lot of work and years. I don't think a feature could save her looking at the collabs she has on this makes me think people don't really want to collab with her. So really the options are long road to redemption, dj collab that randomly smashes or come out as a republican and jump on a country song.

Anyone can with the right music.

We all thought Miley had peaked, but then she released Flowers.

She could grab a hit being a featured artist on a much more popular artists track but by herself?

not a chance.

I can see her booking cute hits with a DJ collab like Calvin Harris. But as a lead artist? No. She doesn't have the talent or range to branch out.

She needs to apologize for her behavior, retire from music, get her own daytime talk show and end Kelly Clarkson.

Knowing Katy she'll probably double down on working with Luke given how smart she is :chick3:

Unlikely but it's not because of 143 flopping, people will move on and forget about it. It's more because of her horrible career management. People judge more based on overall track record than by one fumbled era - the Dr. Luke thing will lurke her tho. Time is against her btw, the more time it passes without a true success the least chances she have.

Everyone can rebound, she had everything lined up for her this time too, but she chose the absolute worst decisions on about anything related to this era - from producers, single choices, cringey gay pandering etc.
