She's attempted several times. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. Teenage Dream could be sung by anyone. :skull:

she's released with Witness by returning to her signature sounds.

She doesn't have any.

She needs to apologize for her behavior, retire from music, get her own daytime talk show and end Kelly Clarkson.

i could honestly see her thriving in a talk show for 2 or 3 seasons

The streaming era has taught me that anybody can score a hit with the right song at the right time so she may. The main problem with her is that she doesn't seem to learn from her mistakes so I wouldn't be surprised if her next album is produced by Luke again, she and her team are that stupid…

no, she might get a hit by featuring on someone else's song but that's it, she will never be a global popstar like she was from 2010-2015

gaga and miley spent years changing their image in the public's eyes, reinventing themselves and paving the way for their comebacks, katy is not talented or creative enough to do that + she doesn't have the time to do it, she's already 40 years old and we know how ageist the music industry/gp are to older popstars, so even if she does try going the gaga/miley route she would be in her mid-late 40s by the time she's done

I went to work immediately prepping my think piece on 143 being a strategic commentary on her calculated takedown of Dr. Luke.

I was 5 paragraphs in before the cocaine high expired and my job locked me out of my laptop.

A project for another day, I fear.

With THREE failed eras, she would need a massive monster hit a la Teenage Dream to even have a chance

She won't be able to, everything she does will be compared to TD/Prism, unfortunately for her.

It seems that she has already understood it and that is why she doesn't care if the album is successful or not.

No. It was no in 2017, no in 2020, no in 2024. What more do yall need to be certain her mainstream pop career is done? :rip:

Literally. She hasn't been a relevant act in pop music for a literal decade. Everybody had already moved on in 2017. I never understand these threads that beat a dead horse like this :rip:

And even if she got some fluke hit in the streaming era as a feature it would change absolutely nothing about her music career status which is: OVER.

After 10 years of flopping and being so low the only way to go is up, but with 143 she definitely taught us that it can get worse.

Yall have been asking this every single week since 2016 and the answer is always NO :ducky:

She released good pop songs (Harleys in Hawaii, Never Really Over), jumped on a successful single Con Calma, mid songs (365, When I'm Gone) to using Teenage Dream formula… yet absolutely nothing worked. It's over.

NO CAN YOU HEAR ME SHE IS DONE OVER FOR GOOD

NEVER GONNA COMEBACK PERRISHED VANNISHED GOOD FUCKIN BYE

This is also why she decided to work with Dr. Luke.

She is pushing him out of the industry by sacrificing herself. She knows that this sacrifice is only temporary, and she will be back.

Lifetimes is not a message to Daisy like she said, but a message to the industry. She will find her way back in the next life of her career, reborn.

She was sending us a message. She is not a butterfly. She is a phoenix. She knew the only way to get him out of the industry and release so many people from his contracts was only something she could do, as his most high profile collaborator.

She released Woman's World not as an anthem, but as a threat, to Mr. Luke. Gottwald. Its a woman's world, and he is lucky to be living in it. She said it herself: Sexy, confident. So intelligent. She is heaven-sent. So soft, so strong. She's a winner, champion

Now he knows. He is a panned flop commercially now, as well as critically. He will never work again. In a years time, we will thank her. And she will have a collab released with Kesha.

I have reached the big leagues with this post in a hit tweet that screen captured my post but hid the citation of my username thus stealing my work. My lawyers will be in touch, Marshall on X (formerly Twitter).

so sadly no, people aren't listening & don't think it's 'cool' to listen to a new KP album in 2024. Even if she releases relatively good music, her music career is coming to a close commercially

exhibit b - y'all do too much

Despite everything, I know she can rebound, but the problem is the public has no patience for her missteps or mistakes. They're constantly waiting to tear her down.

It's not just forums and pop fans talking about it either, even pop culture youtubers are discussing and critiquing her every move. Her next album will have to be absolute FIRE for it to blow this flop reputation away. She would have to make drastic changes to her sound & image to win back the public imo and tbh that would mean stripping away some of her true self and making boring :mrpeanut: music. She's between a rock and hard place.

I don't think she can right now. she was on the verge to do it this era but she literally dragged herself to hell after this 'comeback'
