Nice to see Beyoncé looking and sounding amazing. I am concerned for sis and her foot. A lot of speculation, but we don’t know how long this has been an issue. Hopefully more so a recent injury she is recovering from and not something she has been struggling with for months. Definitely don’t want sis on tour doing hand movements and skipping on stage for two hours trying not to re-injure her foot. She should rest and heal. That’s what’s most important.  I don’t think anyone should draw conclusions from this show about the composition of her shows. As if choreography is a thing of that past. She sang lots of balllads and performed old songs she never did for a 24 million dollar bag. That’s a flex and likely an anomaly of a setlist and ‘chill’ performance movement wise.

 

Anyway, these crumbs didn’t do much for me, didn’t expect them to. Hard when the clips are so short especially. I will say the ending of DrIL gave me goosebumps and I have been humming the runs she did constantly. Looking forward to the Grammy’s. Hope we get a performance of a Renaissance track!

Loving how viral the clips of last night are going. The rush for tour tickets is gonna be the Hunger Games lol. 

 

Really thought Parkwood / the hotel would be on heat snatching ish down, but I suspect they are loving how much it has everyone buzzing. Which must be perfect heading up to the tour announcement. Like, such is the hype that a Grammy performance is neither here nor there and all at once they've managed to retain the big live reveal for the Rennie tracks. 

On the leg surge thing, I'm not worried. At least not yet. 

 

It's the ultimate reminder that she's human and, as an athletic performer, is susceptible to wear and tear. 

 

At the same time, there's quite a while until the tour (May/June). 

 

Rennie's uptempo material will call for movement...however they plan to navigate that. 

 

At the bare minimum the theatrics around her will be dialled up to the max. 

 

More likely, IMO, is that she'll punch in and out with the key routes and the energy will be dispersed smartly across the show. Not anticipating FWT intensity, but more OTRII. I always felt she was lower-fi energy cus she had to tailor her performance to working alongside Jay. That show was enjoyable enough and I'd take that ability level from her solo. 

 

Whatever the case, one thing I will forever love about Bey is that she gets "it".

 

Outside of her immense talent, she smartly works her challenges into wins. Whether age, injuries etc, she'll make sure some other element compensates. She's so actively plugged into the razzle and dazzle of it all that the average person will be nonethewiser that she's increasingly tailoring her show, videos etc to what she has in the tank to deliver and still ensures it's exceptional quality and adds to her legacy in a way even she (as a perfectionist) will be proud of. Love that for her, love that for us.

Its only January, if the tour allegedly starts in May-July she has a lot of time to heal unless she completely broke her foot.

You know, I would actually be very much here for her cutting down on the choreography and working more with the production and everything that's around her and do a very conceptualized show.

 

Her shows have never really been that highly conceptualized nor have an overarching motive because usually SHE IS THE SHOW (except maybe OTR to a certain extent) so it would be an interesting change for her. 
 

Something similar to what Kylie minogue did in 2010 with the Aphrodite tour. That album was very upbeat and dance-y as well and she had also just entered her 40s at that time. She cut down on the dancing compared to her previous shows but the setting, production and theming were INSANE. 
 

I think Bey could something like this for Renaissance with a discotheque/ballroom there. She could have a dancefloor segment, a dark room/lounge segment, a 'night city lights' segment etc. 
 

Regardless, I am very excited for whatever she's cooking and has in store for us for whenever she's ready to tour! 

I have seen many, many videos of the DrIL outro well well over 100k likes and it's not even been 24 hours

I think she should just put out act II and III, and do an ultimate tour for all 3 acts. I don’t mind her only doing a few of her old songs - that way, she’ll have time to fully recover. I don’t think she should rush into rehearsing if the injury needs time to fully heal just to tour for the sake of her longevity as a dancer.
