I mean, that shouldn't be the case naturally though. If you debut with 13.7M, you shouldn't expect to be at 3M within a week. Imagine celebrating a -70% as a business owner because it now sells as the rest (and even that's not true since songs like Abracadabra were doing 1-2M more at the same point in time).

Take your stan goggles off for once.

Her substantial and abnormal success is not sustainable long term, but what is sustainable long term is the "low" end of her performance being on par with the high end of everyone else. It's like if a movie opens with $300M then slow crawls its way to a billion over the next 6 months, while other movies open with $100M and earn $50M consistently for the next 3 months, but only cap out around 5-700M. Despite a softer "fall," the smaller movies never reach the peak OR the overall consumption of the bigger movie

If you ask swifties, the answer is yes If you ask OTH's, the answer is no If you ask the general public, they won't know because songs don't become hits within a week, they take time to build their a

If Patient Zero were a movie, a 75% decrease from a $130M opening to doing $32M the week later isn't celebrated because it "matches" other movies. It's called an "uh oh, something isn't clicking".

It also wouldn't be seen as very successful. By comparison, a song opening to 6M and doing 3M a week later is by all accounts seen as more successful.

You know, you can win this argument because frankly I do not care enough about charts to do this with yall today.

I genuinely dgaf, Patient Zero can be the most forgotten #1 of all time if it makes you happy heart2 You're supposed to be on my ignore list so I'm done acknowledging you, have a nice day Doctor!

Again, you guys need to stop this. Other ATRL faves debut with 4-8M and stay doing 3-4M without a 1M drop or a daily decrease. If anything, those decreases compared to "other ATRL faves" means it's not as big as them.

This simply isn't true.

The Dead Dance is a big reisssue single and even it is only at 216m in over a year. Patient Zero is on track to do well over double.

Yes, it made me stream Folklore and TTPD as palette cleansers so in a way it did boost her streams.
