  • It's really not about being trendy. It's practical. You don't have to charge them. I like that they don't completely block noise so I'm still aware of my surroundings without having me to toggle noise

They're all I use most of the time and will always give you the best possible audio quality.

  • I liked them, because bluetooth drains too much of my phone battery, but since they are becoming trendy again, my edgy ass needs to switch back to wireless

I like them, I never stopped using them with my laptop. However, for the rest of things I use wireless, they're particularly convenient when working out, for instance.

I hate them. The only upside was that they were more visible to strangers so I could more easily avoid random people trying to start conversations with me. Like, ma'am this is a Wendy's, I don't care how your day is going

Yes, I don't use them all the time but there are situations where they're better. They're the only thing I use when I'm on my laptop or traveling, especially on planes where it's so easy for wireless ones to slip out of your ear and get lost forever under the seat or in some crevice you'll never be able to get them out of.

I always use AirPods. I only use wired to listen to a really good album in lossless with my B&W over the ear headphones that I bought a long time ago.

Some of you guys insert stuff up your rectum willingly but draw the line at having to deal with a cord hanging in front of your chest connecting the ears with the phone? Make it make sense

Your analogy doesn't even make sense

I only use headphones when I'm sitting on my laptop or on a flight or whatever so I never adopted wireless headphones. You get way better sound quality for a much lower price.

No, it sucks not being able to listen to music while you're charging your phone.

No. I have nothing against them and I used them for most of my life until 2020. I got my first pair of Bluetooth headphones in late 2016 after Apple ditched the headphone jack. I still used EarPods for a few years after that because I didn't want to always carry my cans with me. But after snagging the cord on the umpteenth door handle, I said ENOUGH.

Like, the only way you're going to hear the audio quality improvements of Lossless audio over wired is if you know what to listen for. Even audiophiles and sound engineers often fail blind audio quality tests.

I will say though that listening to music in the car is a different beast. When music plays through Bluetooth instead of CarPlay (which only happens to me on the rare occasion when CarPlay doesn't connect) the difference in quality is noticeable. Although I don't notice any quality difference between wired CarPlay (lossless capable) and wireless CarPlay (256kbps AAC).

I was a strong supporter for wired earbuds around 2018 - 2020 as they indeed provide much better sound than the bluetooth ones, but now I am older and just prefer wireless so much more simply thanks to the much greater convenience.

i grew up with wired and will always use em and they'll have to pry em from old hands in the senior community.

This year i decided to try them again after years of using airpods and I've lost 2 pairs so no, I hate wired earbuds.

Yes. The sound quality is like night and day for me. There were whole albums I didn't really care for that I ended up actually enjoying listening with wires again. There's a reason why the people who actually make music dont care for bluetooth. It's the epitome of convenience over quality.

Experiencing things I was used to since I was young become "trendy" again just makes me feel old asf.

I have a pair of bluetooth headphones for convienience but I love I can actually hear every instrument with my wired ones. It's only inconvienient when they're tangled AF. AND stupid Iphone cancelled the headphone plug in so I have to use a adapter for them and they get broken VERY easily. istg the WORST design change ever.

Love them until they get caught on something and I get extremely angry at an inanimate object

I never stopped using them because I hate waiting for the wireless ones to charge and I hate having to hear my co-workers talk while I wait.

If i need to take one out, I can just remove it and let it hang instead of holding it in my hand until I need them in again.

This is actually sooo real. You might have convinced me to get back into wired earbuds for my walks.

I've been using them since like 2-3 years ago because I've lost and used like 4 pairs of AirPods and didn't want to keep spending more money on wireless when they only last 1year

Until some months ago I've always ended up using them (the Apple ones with USB-C port) the most despite having multiple airpods since the first release, only recently I started to use the airpods 4 with noise cancellation because I was basically never using them and felt it wasn't right to have them sitting in the box, not to mention since I basically use my laptop the most, I didn't realize until recently I could charge them with it, that was life changing for me, but yeah the wired ones are just comfortable when it comes to use them with a laptop especially for the fact you don't have to punctually charge them or the risk of losing them, especially if you sleep with music, the sound and quality of airpods is clearly miles better than wired ones, at least Apple ones.

When it comes to do gym or running, clearly wireless are more comfortable.
