The bright side for Sam Smith is that Sam Smith isn't much of a celebrity, so this lackluster showing won't be talked about all that much. Sam Smith can easily come back with better songs and get better numbers.

Then stop. It doesn't matter if he offs himself (which he likely wouldn't do) if you end the friendship. His problems aren't your problems. A friendship should bring good feelings the vast majority of the time. You either need to have firm words with him about how his behavior is affecting you so that he can change or if you've already done that, you need to cut ties.

No. The vast majority of guys do not look like that. I can't even name 1 gay man I've met in my life that looked like that. Maybe it's midwest things. Most gays I've gotten with didn't even have discernible muscle

It's weird cuz as a fan we view all of these people the same. They're pop stars so they have the same job so they must interact. I've never seen P!nk and Gaga pictured together either. It wasn't until like 2017 that P!nk and Kelly Clarkson were seen together. We're talking years and years of being in the same industry and even the same niche within the industry and some pop girls have never been linked together in a photograph. And we assume they don't know each other. Or they're pictured together and we assume they're friends. But we don't know what goes on. And I think that's a good reminder that we don't know ****

It doesn't affect me. I get that some people feel like these celebrities get to wear the rainbow cloak and the clout that comes with it without facing any of the dangers and prejudices of being LGBT. Harry Styles is the lowest hanging fruit and the easiest target, due to his fashion choices, statements he has made, his outright refusal to state any sexuality and the way he was lauded as being a gender bending, Bowie-esque icon. I think it's valid that some LGBT people are irritated by the fact that these celebrities get to be applauded for their queerness that is never seen whilst they go about their lives fearing for their safety, or hiding their truth from their parents or dealing with all the other **** that comes with being gay. Especially since more "actually" gay artists, barring Sam Smith and recently Chappell Roan, never get to see any kind of industry support or mainstream success.

That's hard to say. There are many ways to judge a video. How fun it is to watch, how beautiful it is, its impact on the culture, whether or not it's still talked about years after release, whether any part of the video (be it look or dance) became a subject of parody or tribute or Halloween costume.

The way you people talk about decades is crazy to me. A decade is 10 years. Taylor Swift has been around for 2 decades. Lady Gaga just shy of 2 decades. Ya'll will take 12/31/2009 - 1/1/2020 and make it sound like 30 years.
