The E=MC2 as a continuation was a cute concept, but sonically they were nothing alike. Emancipation's album tracks were all 70s soul inspired tracks with live instrumentation and Einstein was very 2008 hip-pop

Its not really about the name of the album but the music itself, also Mariah already had E=MC2 which was kinda meant to be Emancipation part.2

"Bye Bye" is a cute song but releasing it as the follow up to "Touch My Body" was simply egregious. 😂

"IBLYLT" (still a bop) would've made more sense as the second single and probably would've given the era more traction too. I get "B,B" had sentimental value (and her label probably didn't care about the charts anymore because of TMB's success) but no.

Sonically, it's not but the overall concept still rings as an obvious follow up to what was TEOM and this was even discussed at the time.

Perhaps she could do a true artistic follow up to TEOM and call it "The Liberation Of Mimi" or Reincarnation something like that.

Confessions II worked for Madonna because all of her albums from 2008-2019 were entirely different from the og Confessions. I adore Mariah, but she's tried to rehash WBT too many times now to the point where it'd be ridiculous.

HFIA was the first album that did not have a beat ballad.

We had it already it was called Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse.

As others have said, she did with E=MC², and Island Def Jam did horribly at promoting the project.

Naming it after a comeback wouldn't mean she's able to comeback she should work on a third Christmas Album.
