i ******* love this, and i have been a HUGE phoebe hater i still think she's a shitty person but at least she owns it here, along with absolutely beautiful production, vocals, and songs.

Phenomenal production. What am I even supposed to say about the lyrics? Half-assed, phoned in, ambiguous to the point of meaning nothing? It'd be easier to enjoy this as an instrumental work so I'd ha

trying to enjoy some of these songs knowing damn well they're about bo burnham

I think I won't ever forget listening to "The Outside" for the first time at midnight last night.

I literally froze.

This is my album of the year. (along with Coadf2)

Oh wow kill me is amazing, if the rest of the album is that good…

I can't stop replaying it

Not sure how I feel about this. katie Guess I'll have to give it more time but right now I would say it's her weakest album. Some of these songs bring nothing new and lyrically lack a punch. Sidelines (her best song btw) sort of feels like a template for this album but nothing touches it here.

GAG

very beautiful album clap3 my favs on first listen are tracks 3 through 7 (WOW what a flawless 5 track run that is!), Liberty Tree, and I Can't Wait

I Can't Wait REALLY should've been the lead single tbh. it's arguably the best thing she's ever done jonny5

Yesterday at midnight, I listened to it for the first time, and it immediately felt stunning and deeply emotional. I've been through a situation somewhat similar to what she's describing... but I feel like I'm finally starting to come to terms with my own grief. Thank God this album came into my life now and not a year ago 😅English isn't my first language, so I still need to dig deeper into the lyrics, but even from what I've understood so far, some of them are sooo soul touching. The outros ar f##king beautiful. After a second listen, I'm even more convinced that this is an album I need to slowly unpack and discover with time. And I love that, we are so used to instant music.

P.S. The outro repeating "Tamam Shud"? As a true crime nerd, I can't help but think of the Somerton Man 😂

this is a huge letdown personally. extremely boring and the lyrics are mostly not good. only 4 or 5 songs actually stood out

anyway Punisher still exists so idgaf

Love her but 6 years for this? doc

Really boring and the songwriting isn't doing anything for me.

I loved As above.

There are some beautiful songs scattered throughout the album, but there's also quite a bit of filler material. It's like digging for diamonds in the dirt, which I find very rewarding chick1

This may be a very unpopular opinion but some of these songs sound like they're making weird production choices just for the sake of it. It comes across as forced rather than authentic michael

I'm on track #8 and Haunted is my favorite so far because it's the one that feels most like pure Phoebe.

Jack definitley has a distinct sound cause as soon as I heard those sounds at the end of I Can't Wait I thought about him and it was dies

Kill me soty wow! Album needs more listens to fully digest there's so much going on in each song

The majority of songs are quite similar, very slow and then have an intentionally weird instrumental thrown on the end as an outro

The songwriting isn't doing much for me either katie critics may have overhyped this

The Outside is one of the best album openers I've ever heard. That's definitely my favorite song on the album.

The Outside, Kill Me, Still Standing, As Above are my favorites. This is truly an amazing record. AOTY contender!

Listened to this during my walk and thought about my dad. In about a month it will be 5 years since he passed. Such a great album, especially for people who can relate to losing a loved one.

in the perfect mood for this, so enjoying it a lot
also gave Punisher a revisit; still really beautiful
