I absolutely agree with you. I also find it really patronizing to use misogyny as a shield against criticism of her bad music. What I was trying to say is that the most successful and visible name in music right now is a woman, and the attacks that come with being a woman are much harsher. People are seeing this recent downfall as an opportunity to go after her even harder. The fact that the target of this criticism is a woman makes her an easier target. That's really what I was trying to say.

Here's the thing: I'm not a fan of her music, I don't think her songwriting is good, and I find her incredibly inauthentic. There's something about her that irks me, BUT I feel like y'all are hating on her just for the sake of hating. Some of the criticism I've seen here and on social media is beyond disturbing. Taylor has been targeted to the point where it's giving misogynists ammunition, and I have a problem with that.

Not a TS fan, and yes, she objectively makes bad music now but this hate feels so forced.
