Coat of Many Colors is one of the most beautiful songs ever written ❤️ both lyrically and melodically. It makes me so happy to see it reaching new people outside the US (I understand it's a classic there). It's one of those songs that reminds you why music matters in the first place... art in its purest form that moves something good inside you. Rest in peace, Dolly. The shadow of your legacy will be eternal.

Yesterday at midnight, I listened to it for the first time, and it immediately felt stunning and deeply emotional. I've been through a situation somewhat similar to what she's describing... but I feel like I'm finally starting to come to terms with my own grief. Thank God this album came into my life now and not a year ago 😅English isn't my first language, so I still need to dig deeper into the lyrics, but even from what I've understood so far, some of them are sooo soul touching. The outros ar f##king beautiful. After a second listen, I'm even more convinced that this is an album I need to slowly unpack and discover with time. And I love that, we are so used to instant music. P.S. The outro repeating "Tamam Shud"? As a true crime nerd, I can't help but think of the Somerton Man 😂

Spanish here... This surge in migrant arrivals from Morocco has made me reflect once again on an issue I've been thinking about for a long time. I find it increasingly difficult to believe that immigration can be explained solely from a humanitarian perspective. Behind it, there are also major economic and geopolitical interests that rarely become part of the public debate. When an industry offers low wages, exhausting hours, and working conditions that most local workers are no longer willing to accept, the obvious solution would be to improve those jobs. Yet, more often than not, the proposed solution is simply to bring in more workers. We see this constantly in Spain with tourism and hospitality: sectors that generate enormous profits but, instead of raising wages or improving working conditions, argue that they need more immigration because they "can't find workers." That's why I don't see immigrants as the problem. They're simply trying to build a better life. The real issue is a system that uses their vulnerability to keep labor costs low and weaken workers' bargaining power. This model inevitably creates social resentment. Wages stagnate, housing becomes increasingly unaffordable, and many workers feel they are competing for jobs that are becoming more precarious every year. That frustration is often directed at immigrants, even though the main beneficiaries are those who gain access to cheaper labor with less bargaining power. At the same time, integration policies often fail. Instead of encouraging genuine integration, large numbers of migrants end up concentrated in the same neighborhoods, creating de facto ghettos and social tensions that only deepen mistrust between locals and newcomers. Without successful integration, it becomes much harder for society to accept high levels of immigration. Italy is another example that reinforces this view. Giorgia Meloni won the election promising to dramatically reduce immigration, yet once in office her government expanded legal pathways for foreign workers because the economy demanded them. To me, this illustrates how economic interests often outweigh even the strongest political promises. Then there is Morocco. Every so often, sudden spikes in migrant arrivals to Ceuta or the Canary Islands remind us that migration can also be used as a geopolitical tool. If a neighboring country can effectively open or close the migration tap depending on its diplomatic interests, then immigration is clearly more than just a humanitarian issue. The most troubling part is who ultimately benefits. The result is a labor market built around low wages and precarious jobs, while workers lose bargaining power. At the same time, tensions between locals and immigrants continue to grow, fueled by the media, political parties, and businesses, even though they are the ones creating the real problem. As both groups blame each other for their problems, attention is diverted away from those who benefit most from this situation. A divided working class has always been easier to manage than a united one. F+#k capitalism

As a casual Olivia listener, while Stupid Song absolutely screams as the biggesr album hit, I think choosing Drop Dead was the right call. To me, Stupid Song follows a similar path to drivers license and vampire: ballads that gradually build in intensity before ending on a more euphoric emotional note. As great as that formula is, it might have felt a little too predictable this time around. Some people could have seen it as overly familiar, a bit too much of a rehash of what's come before. Drop Dead, on the other hand, showcases a different side of her. The Cure feels like that signature Olivia formula fully optimized and better than ever. Then Stupid Song comes in and serves as the culmination of all of that, while also giving the album even more room to breathe. Overall, I think it was a smart strategy. P.S. I started this by saying I'm a casual listener, but I think this album is about to turn me into a regular one. It's a fantastic record from start to finish, with zero skips. You fans must be incredibly excited, and rightly so. Enjoy the album and the next few weeks! I'm genuinely happy for her and for all of you ❤️

Without a doubt, a milestone in the history of my country's pop music. I love Hilary — I grew up with Lizzie McGuire— but are we really going to highlight one over the other? The problem (at least in Barcelona this year) is that the opening act finished the concert in time, and then we had to wait 2 hours in "silence" for her... Me and my friends didnt see the act cause we knew that Madonna would be late. So we arrived at the time that the M concert was suposse to start... and waited two hours for it (we didn't want to risk arriving too late in case she was on time for once.)
