The song itself will probably cause the meltdowns, but that's a true Tinashe lead single experience

Probably been said over and over , but it's all intentional. The song + the video makes it clear that , in a similar but different vein of the wave Charli has been on, Tinashe is critiquing the pop star apparatus and our idea of pop stars in general. There are internal label discussions all the time now , due to the proliferation of hits made via TikTok , that pop songs meant for mainstream consumption need to be shorter so they have more replay value. Hence the perfect loop of the song and video. There's a separate conversation that can be had about .. well to me anyway I think we've had a lot of pop album cycles in recent years that kind of tackle this meta, inside-looking-out commentary on pop stardom , but I still like seeing Tinashe's perspective on it. TL;DR correct as you may be that the song feels a bit "incomplete", I'm like 99% positive it's all part of what Tinashe is intentionally trying to do here.

Yes, we get it. We still no like.

This sounds straight up inspired by Smerz' last album.. stripped down, minimalistic, concept of popular/city life/superstar utopianism. And I don't think most of that album was executed very well either.

The song is short but it feels very complete. Could be longer and even punchier? Yeah, but it's still nice. Love the beat.

She needs to book a late night show performance/interview/skit , while she is rehearsing the performance film a performance video/dance tutorial. Also couple remixes by Friday. I wouldn't mind the dare, Rebecca Black, kaytranada, Jt remix ep.

She has gotten some people talking about her, keep them engage by feeding them and keep them talking and spread her name beyond X and social media and hopefully she will penetrate some every people conversations and hopefully many fill give her chance.

The goal with every Tinashe era is exposure, getting new people to discover her, give her a chance, listen to a project, and most importantly buy a ticket to see her on tour.

Now that Jacquel is back, hopefully full time and permanently, I expect they will put together some killer performances throughout the summer to build excitement for the tour. This upcoming run could be her biggest yet, and it is worth investing in building her performance résumé and reminding people why she is still one of the most exciting and complete performers of her generation.

This era could go in a lot of different directions, but Nicelife, Atlantic, and management need to make establishing her as a star performer a priority. The music will speak for itself, but the performances are what can separate her from the pack and turn casual listeners into ticket buyers.

Hopefully everything comes together because she has all the tools to really take off this era (in a more realistic way).

Not too bad for a Sunday. Hopefully it rises and stabilizes through the week. We need this song to at least outdo Nasty first week.

If this song stabilize, it will out stream a certain person entire daily album streams in a couple days. Them releasing on the same day wasn't a coincidence, they having a flop off.

The visual was PERFECT and i love the mockery aspect but why die down your artistic ability sonically?

There's no way yall think this is GOOD, the song goes literally no where. Wasted a cool ass concept on such a weak song.

the video not being on Spotify yet is not smart...

it's there.

it just got delayed since the video itself was delayed & uploading to spotify requires a little more time.

The overall consensus online is this song is GOOD. I have a feeling this will be a hit eventually. Like a needs level hit at least. Its gonna pick up right before the album drops next month
