  1. ^ A lot of weird ass, dumb ass assumptions. "uR MaD, uR pLaYinG viCtIM" lol what? Yes, I'm curious about someone's publicly shared art and it's strumming your feelings like a bango for some reason. And now you're menstruating all over this thread because of a "negative connotation"? Lol very weird. Grow up.
  2. Not sure why that simple question is striking a nerve. I understand discourse in art, but complaining is clearly a trend in her songs and I'm curious if there's a story or intention behind it. Just like SZA is always begging in her songs.
  3. At least 50% of it is a same-tone snoozefest with songs that don't progress anywhere. The few tracks outside of that are most of the standouts IMO.
  4. Congrats, you can read 2 words. But can you answer the question?
  5. Why is Kelela always complaining in her music?
  6. This sounds straight up inspired by Smerz' last album.. stripped down, minimalistic, concept of popular/city life/superstar utopianism. And I don't think most of that album was executed very well either.
  7. Yes, we get it. We still no like.
  8. I'm pretty sure he was making fun of her son's speech issues. Y'all don't know how sneaky Jay-Z's lyricism has always been.
  9. So you haven't paid any attention to the trial... oh ok
  10. Meanwhile... this has PEAKED again, but at #33 this time. Time to update that thread title and put a 'Super' in front of that 'Smash'.
  11. This is a really solid follow up to Planet Her. I'm glad she took the past 4 years to release nothing and take that time to focus on her craft.
  12. 18 pages? Now y'all doing a taD tew much..
  13. ??? For what? I was hacked, I didnt even post that chile...
  14. Fun fact: Those lyrics are so old that Jadakiss wrote them in 2001 @2:55
  15. "I'm on your dick, I wanna hold it when you pee" Umm...
  16. 2 songs have the same exact beat but one is slowed down and the other has a higher bpm
  17. First few tracks, Bodega Baddie, Pretty & Petty, and the clickbait Janet "feature" with the homophone error in the title are interesting. The rest of this album is a complete snoozefest. I listened to this on the way to Trader Joe's and almost fell asleep at the wheel. Dull/dated beats, cringe lyrics, flow/delivery is atrocious.... she makes rapping sound like it hurts. A lot of posts in here feel like they're tryna gaslight people into thinking this is good...
  18. I think we all get this, and understand that she can perform better with a different formula. The main issue/question is who is this song even for? A) This style is not what her core fanbase or the casual listener gravitates to her for. B) Hip-hop heads who know the intricacies of good rap AND who are familiar with the original can recognize how much this falls flat. It's not a terrible song. It's just overall underwhelming. And will underwhelm on the charts to match.
  19. This woman raps like she's making an order at a McDonald's drive thru
  20. Roc Nation forgot to put bots in the crowd.
  21. ^most definitely this, cause... Ms. Hemme was wrongly convicted for the 1980 murder of Patricia Jeschke in St. Joseph, Missouri, after police exploited her mental illness and coerced her into making false statements while she was sedated and receiving treatment for hallucinatory episodes. In late February 2023, Ms. Hemme's attorneys filed a petition for habeas relief in the 43rd Circuit Court of Livingston County based on compelling new evidence of her innocence. This new evidence was withheld by the State for decades and pointed to a police officer as the person who committed the crime.
  22. Out of Luck is already out too for the OP
