I mean, this is nothing new, as people said this is not about her music but rather how the public and the industry sees pop music, usually (if not totally) being from white people, but that's not something new. I mean, let's take a look at Beyonce's Grammys: Best R&B - Crazy in Love (which is a pop song. imo), Best Female R&B Vocal Performance - Single Ladies (again, a pop song), while she have songs that were nominated to pop categories, they were not very common until very late in the game. I don't get people reading her talking about her music, to me it's quite clear when she's doing full pop and when she's doing rnb and other styles.

Relevant and Troye Sivan in the same sentence is quite a choice. OT: Both songs are great.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Again, people act like she's the one personally picking the cities and countries she's going to. In my opinion there is a difference between doing a concert in a country/region like that as a solo thing, than being there performing as part as something promoting the country/region.
