thanks for telling, didn't realize as this website somehow still weirdly uses different logos for light/dark modes (i was seeing Ariana till I checked here)

I actually modified the HTML to take that, it was before someone changed it. Was a nice surprise to see someone put it up, I think its great. heart2

you not realizing it's being used is technically why you should be against having different logos depending on modes

having the Ariana logo first and then Kim a few days later is what actually creates diversity and representation, not changing the logo depending on light or dark mode. a logo is supposed to remain consistent across themes, so constantly swapping it out and making it look different between modes would go against a lot of basic branding and UI principles too.

and if multiple artists dropped on the same day, you could always do a 2in1 logo instead while still keeping it consistent across both themes.

though whoever i'm even talking to, i already know this is changing absolutely nothing...

Thank you for repeatedly (and I do mean repeatedly) expressing this opinion.

The reason for the multiple banners is to accommodate multiple releases. What started as separate assets for light and dark mode evolved into occasionally having different variants for desktop and mobile as well.

You’re treating branding as if it’s still 2005 and every logo must be completely static at all times. Dynamic branding has existed for years. The brand remains ATRL regardless of which artist is featured in the banner, just as countless companies adapt their visual identity across campaigns, products, platforms, and devices without suddenly losing brand recognition.

I always find it funny when you try to start lecturing me about “basic branding principles.” I have a degree in Communications with a minor in Marketing, spent three years working in advertising, and I’m currently pursuing my MBA. Trust me, I’m familiar with the basics.

You’re presenting your personal preference as a branding rule, and those aren’t the same thing.

You don’t have to like the approach, but presenting it as some violation of branding fundamentals is simply incorrect. At this point, I think everyone understands your position. Repeating the same point doesn’t make it any more persuasive.

I meant to tag you when it changed. I apologized for not doing so. The team is working on streamlining some of this in the coming weeks.

Your design is very awesome and I like the futuristic look of it all. Not being afraid to try something new has been a lot of fun. Great work.

Oh no worries at all babe!!! I was more laughing at myself for thinking the screenshot was a mock since it cached lol

Oh LOL so I'm not crazy! Ahaha bless

Btw for those unaware it's in the style of the album logo (that isn't in the final album art lol)

Thanks. I have another question... when I use a spoiler box, I just noticed it's only available to people who are logged in. Not for guests. Is there a way to have a function similar to the spoiler box where you can expand and hide a list that's available for everyone to view? Including guests?
