I've been a Nicki stan for nearly 20 years now. I'm just as disappointed and hurt as everyone else regarding the MAGA mess… but at the end of the day, I can't stop the music from bopping Also, for many of us OG fans, it's hard to throw away someone you grew up with for sooo many years. Nicki's music reminds me of so many memories and joyous occasions from several years ago when the world wasn't as crazy and f*cked up as it is today. How can you listen to songs like Itty Bitty Piggy, Super Bass, Moment 4 Life, etc. and not feel nostalgic? I also think all this backlash at Nicki fans is kinda hilarious, because if the likes of Beyonce, Gaga, Taylor, etc. were to come out as a Trump supporter today… yall would still be streaming their music on Spotify tomorrow. I do not take any of this posturing mess seriously.

Just got tickets for the Toronto show. The ticket prices were pretty decent, it was $115 Canadian dollars. I was planning on going to her 2024 tour but she cancelled it due to her knee injury, I can't miss this tour.

A Metacritic score of 63 on album release day is crazy. Albums usually debut high on Metacritic and then slowly go down or stabilize. Eternal Sunshine debuted with a score of 93 and ended up at 84. There's a good chance this album goes below 60 on Metacritic... wow. Can't say it's undeserved tho. This is easily her most boring album to date, and I say this as a longtime fan.

And didn't Ariana say this album is feral? What is feral about this album? I really wish artists would stop describing their music beforehand and just let the music speak for itself. This album not living up to its "feral" description is one of the reasons I'm disappointed.

I already went into this album with low expectations, as I didn't really like the lead single… but this is somehow worse than what I was expecting I love Ari DOWNE, but this has to be her most boring album to date. The album is very short at only 36 minutes and I was yawning towards the end. This album feels like one long song. And I applaud her for writing an entire album by herself, but she's not a good songwriter. The lyrics are so vague and don't say anything substantial? I feel like I've learned nothing new from Ari after listening to this album. Going forward, I hope she works with a whole new group of songwriters and producers to create something completely different. No more Max Martin, Ilya, or Tommy Brown. Songwriters and producers she's never worked with in the past.

For me.... this is still the best album released in the 2020s decade by a mainstream pop artist. Truly a phenomenal record. It's such a shame she didn't do any promos or videos for this era. It could've been her third biggest album/era to date, after "Dangerously In Love" and "I Am Sasha Fierce" with some promo/videos. The fact that it's a long album with 16 tracks and nearly every track has over 100 million streams on Spotify.. the demand was clearly THERE. Beyonce wasting the era's potential is a crime tbh.

Just went to Wikipedia to see if the track lengths have been posted, and I've been disappointed yet again Only 2 songs longer than 3:30 I really hate it here. I really don't know why she insists on these short ass songs? This is like her 3rd or 4th consecutive album with short songs. The main issue I had with Eternal Sunshine was the songs were decent/good, but didn't reach their full potential because of their short lengths. The songs on that album felt so rushed and underbaked, I fear the same thing is gonna happen with Petal.

This is so sad and I hope all the injured find peace one day. Rest in peace to the lady who passed away. On another note... I really hate these kinds of threads because they always resort to racism and anti-Muslim rhetoric. That one user basically saying "ban all migrants!!!111!!" when the perpetrator was quite literally born and raised in Germany
