She can come back with hits. Look at Raye. No one thought she would have a hit again and here we are. The Subway is a Hit.

I think she's purposefully, and rightly, trying to avoid herself being overconsumed. When that happens, people get bored and move on. If she's a generational talent, and puts out another great album, then the wait won't hurt her.

She's this generation equivalent of Lorde

I literally said this a year ago and everyone lashed me

I was like "I feel like she's gonna have a similar run to Lorde where this is her Pure Heroine and Good Luck Babe is her Royals and Pink Pony Club is her Team but I can see her wasting her hype and taking five years to release a follow up"

She needs to release a bop. Neither The Giver or The Subway were good singles. She's known for gay bops, people don't want country from her. Ballads are fine but they should be album tracks.

Just because an artist doesn't replicate their huge debut success every single time, it does not mean they're over skull

Tired of this narrative (and I don't even stan Chappell)

No, but she definitely squandered a ton of her hype. It's a bit baffling.

She's objectively still very successful and in my opinion makes great music, but she annoys me, so yes.

Her biggest hits were all uptempo, fun songs and/or a little synthy. And her last two singles weren't really that at all. I think she's built and will sustain a lasting fanbase because she is TALENTED and has a lot of original ideas

I think the choice in singles and the long wait since then for new music is intentional. She could be deliberately trying to distance herself from becoming the massive pop star the world was pushing her to be last summer. And also her other songs have had crazy longevity. She may be avoiding overexposure

If you have attended any of her festival sets, you'd know she's bigger than most of the new pop girls right now and with only one album out

Bentley, nobody gives a *** ... chart obsessed weirdo

She's too gorgeous to fall. When youre that beautiful you will have success for some time.

I don't see what atrl sees in her so yes

A Britney and Tate McRae stans trashing someone with substantial talent? Color me shocked.

she is on Dan Nigro's slow album release bus sitting next to Olivia Rodrigo. Both of their most recent albums came out in September 2023...yes it's been awhile.

DEV sweetie...

Dev has had 0% of the impact that Chappell has had. How many people sing Pink Pony Club and Good Luck, Babe at the AGT auditions or on Tiktok? Did supposed alien express Emma Stone sing along to a Dev song when she was comptemplating destroying Earth? I think not, hmm.

Chappell sweetie, I'm sorry. You'll always be famous. You are the moment. S.T.A.B - success, talent, acclaim, beauty.

No, she's not but I can see her fading into irrelevance if she does not drop another in the year or two. The gp is so fickle these days. Just look at Doja rn!

Pink Pony Club went top 10 year end for 2025 and the album did as well

So no
