Aaron

Chappell Roan sucks and the Expectations remix is just her obnoxiously screaming over Olivia's vocals. I was really enjoying not seeing or hearing anything about her and now everyone is back to droning on about how "important to the culture" she is

It's funny to think back on the thread that was created when the collab was first announced. I remember pages and pages of people declaring her career irreparably dead and over and that this would haunt her forever

Thank you for illustrating the pointlessness of this 'record' by comparing the spammed, fanbase-fueled entries to legitimate, durable hits actually consumed by the GP

SO happy for her, she really pulled it off On an unrelated note, Dua Lipa has zero #1 albums

this rant feels extremely AI generated

@Tylerbv Don't listen to this user, pls never change your avi. Nicole GODzel for life

It's embarrassing how much I'm freaking out over the chances of this actually going #1 PUSH SMILERS PUSH

LOVING the album

It's MUCH better than Something Beautiful but isn't hitting the highs of Plastic Hearts and ESV. It's already growing more with each listen though

Her touring/residency comments… She has no obligation to do anything she doesn't want to do, and Smilers are incredibly parasocial, but damn, what a slap in the face to international fans (which she has more of than American fans at this point).

Sure, but it feels like this era was supposed to be a deliberate course-correction after Something Beautiful (new label, mononym rebrand, high-budget video, variants, mainstream lead single). That's why I say it "needed" to bring a lot more to the table, and from my own experience along with the general online consensus at this point, we're far from "OH MY GOD SHE DID IT " and that's worrying.

Dance The Night. Like… why not just call it Dance The Night Away?

Everyone basically repeating the same "this is solid! go Miley " consensus is… not great She needed to hit it out of the park with this and instead it just seems like "oh! that was cute" I went to a listening party as well, but I don't wanna judge the album yet since it was kinda hard to hear the lyrics/production. I definitely left with a kind of disappointment though. I don't get why it was titled Bass Persuades and marketed as a club/guitar/dance record when most of the songs are lowkey and midtempo. Praying the actual album in lossless quality actually delivers.

Taylor >>>

I feel like I'm listening to a completely different album from what critics/social media are hearing Every track is great, and some of them (freak, HTIMYLM, petal, bad thing) feel like instant classic Ariana songs. It honestly feels like bandwagon hate as a response to the Wicked overexposure era/discourse about her body. I genuinely do not understand the polarizing response at all when just focusing on the music itself.

I feel like they could make some perfect pop songs together. Showgirl isn't proof that Max is washed, that album being bad was 100% Taylor's fault

Everyone quoting with "ummm she's always done this" no she hasn't I know exactly what you mean

This is disturbing and heartbreaking. Are her stans ready to give up the "Why do y'all gag over Tate McRae? That's just Britney in her living room on a random Tuesday" coping yet?

congrats to her

omggg this just dragged me back to 2011

RISE BP RISE the Demi stan who made this thread just going "lol weird update." you know he wanted it to keep falling sooo badly

Bass Persuades. Ariana looks weird on the petal cover, the HTIMYLM single cover >>>>

quiet, Lovatic

Well it's over At least it's predicted to scrape the top 40 and outpeak EOTW

The deluxe added sooo many shitty/filler songs The standard album is so good and concise. However, Lost Yo Mind/Creole/Back Up are all excellent and fit the album's vibe so well
