I think the songs this year were more released out of necessity, her team probably pressured her to release something and those were the only songs ready. Her follow-up singles probably would have been a lot stronger if she had already been working on a full album that came with options to choose from

The fact that she dropped The Giver and The Subway this year already saved her from the fate of Ella Yelich-O'Connor tbh.

It is concerning that The Subway flopped especially after a 8m debut. I think it depends on how long she waits. 2027 should be the absolute latest

However I think people had a trajectory for her in mind that's not gonna happen. They thought Midwest Princess was just the appetizer to a huge era that was gonna come out this year but if she's really not even started on an album yet that's gonna take a while and some of her momentum will obviously have slowed down by then
