Dance Pop is weird this year, the top songs, Stateside and Dracula, will probably compete in Pop Duo/Group performance. Madonna might show up there, but none her songs were as relevant as Padam Padam, Von Dutch or Abracadabra. I just hope a super gay song wins it again

'Stateside' is definitely going in pop duo and I think they will have high chances to win, no idea about 'Dracula' but if it will go in pop dance I would say it's gonna win, otherwise I agree with this argument about Madonna being awarded in that category, also because I strongly doubt they're gonna award her in not dance categories with that project, despite the acclaim the album made no noise and the era was a not event outside of this board and stan twitter.

I think few nominations are happening but yeah they're gonna be fillers.

When it comes to the general fields at this point I'm at peace with the fact that they're never going to award her there, or at least not anytime soon, I can see a possible scenario where they randomly award her in a GF in her late 50s or 60s a la Bonnie Raitt, but at the actual state of things I don't see it happens at this point no matter the success, she had too many projects with the right narrative and success to it and everytime she has been overlooked.

Do you think they will submit Shape of a Smash or The Chud Dance for visual media consideration at the Grammy's? I'm thinking the former makes more sense if Disney wants to push it as their Oscar entry. DEIWAY can go for, get nommed, & rightfully win Best Music Video

The concept of Wrongway winning Best Music VIdeo while Abracadabra wasn't even nominated.

Gaga had a higher chance of winning an Oscar, Emmy, or Tony award for best actress or supporting actress imo than she does winning a general field Grammy. It's just the truth imo. The pop voting committee has a lot respect for Gaga. But she doesn't have enough street cred for the other departments. This is why I think she needs to do more rock collabs or release a rock full blown rock album and also an original jazz album. No covers and no collab singles only to touch those genres. A lot rock legends and jazz community have respect for Gaga but many non pop fans still see Gaga as another pop star. Her AC music like die with a smile, shallow etc are mega smashes but at the end of the day they are pop songs too.

Re: Gaga's Grammy chances this year - I'm not too concerned as she was largely inactive spare a few exception, she won several Grammys over the last few years, and a lot of Grammy darlings released this year (Olivia, Noah Kahan, ect.). She'll probably get more in the future and I just hope that she's currently enjoying her time off I just know that whatever she comes back with will be great

I think she can definitely win a GF Grammy in the future, but under the right circumstances. She just hasn't been the top dog in any GF yet.

DWAS in SOTY was probably close but Not Like Us had a narrative: it directly addressed his beef with Drake.

Abracadabra was a ROTY contender but certainly not commercially successful enough in the US to win. Most winners here are #1 smashes.

MAYHEM probably was #2 behind DTMF though. BB had a much stronger narrative though being the first album in Spanish to win.

She just needs the perfect storm of success/acclaim/narrative and a non-competitive year. Kendrick & Bad Bunny (along with Billie) are some of the toughest competitors in the industry.

Im not too familiar with Tonys but i dont want her just to tag her name as a co producer just to get one like a lot did.

I know being a full time theater actress with her health would literally be suicidal seeing the outrageous schedule

But producing and writing orignal songs or being fully involved in producing a show would be a really nice and credible way to get that Tony I think?

Im sure as we're speaking now she's exploring these.

I read people saying that Tony is difficult to get, idk.

Apparently an ASIB musical is opening on Broadway in 2030 (though it's based on the Judy Garland one ) so that would be a good opportunity for Gaga to write some music and potentially win a Tony that way.
