Lady Gaga
This popping up into my recommended today pre-LG7 was really fun upon reflection since we got a great album/era after all the waiting, but we were going through it during the drought lol

I've been out of the loop for a bit, anything noteworthy happened here or any new Gaga rumors?

I hope Gaga's enjoying her hiatus right now. She worked so hard these past couple of years and I'm sure that LG8 (whenever it comes) will be amazing

Has anyone actually made a purchase from the Amazon links in this thread yet

If Intertube is going to take forever to update her certs, they might as well wait until she hits 200 million total units in the US (which will probably happen in a few years anyway).

My first time on here in like a week and I'm greeted by a gif of some AI slop'd gooner gay with cow udders. This place truly is unlike any other on the internet

I know the last OGH that got banned was that Britney stan with the Iggy Azalea AVI. Has another one gotten the boot since then?

Abra at 2x, DWAS at 9x, Disease at 1x were all confirmed last year. Mayhem was around 1.9 million units for a while, so it makes sense that it crossed 2x plat eligible rather recently. Chartdata (who sees Luminate) put GOE at 465k and VIY at 370k at the end of last year, so it's pretty reasonable for them to have crossed 500k units within the past five months. It's not a stretch for HBDUWM to be at a similar number of units as well given Spotify streams. And in the long run, DWAS will likely hit diamond sometime this year, and hit 14x-15x platinum within the next 3-5 years. Mayhem will cross 3x plat in that time frame as well, and I'm sure Abra will end up with a similar number of units that ROM has now (4x plat eligible). GOE and VIY year-end totals from Chartdata

Fortunately for Gaga (and us), she lives up the street from a world-class recording studio where most of Mayhem was recorded. So she can pop in there pretty easily in secret, and has probably been there way more times than we realize over the past year or so.

I know it's a site-wide thing + no one in here's decision, but having Amazon links stickied in this thread looks so ******* cheap. Truly the Ritchie Squirrel of site updates. Ot: still listening to and loving Requiem one week later

I agree that a tight 10ish track album released next year (with the Mayhem Requiem sound) would work really well artistically and commercially. And even if she doesn't tour the album immediately (or at all) I think she/her team would have at least one interesting and noteworthy promo slot booked during the album's rollout. The only thing I hope they do differently vs Mayhem's rollout is release the lead on a Friday with the MV (and all the appropriate playlisting/radio deals/ect.) and then release the 2nd single on the album release date with the MV (and playlisting/radio) and make it the first song on the tracklist. Other than that, they really nailed everything else this go around.

So I'm browsing the Gaga Reddit rn and some people pointed out that this new batch of Gaga signed vinyls didn't come with the same hype sticker (it was an orange box saying featuring DWAS, Disease, Abra, and VIY) on the shrink-wrap that the initial batch of signed albums came with when the album was first released. This gives me the impression that she signed these later on and they were deliberately released for Mayhem: Requiem as opposed to some old stock that they just found in a random warehouse. This makes me wonder how many copies she signed/were released and sold last week? I'm guessing somewhere around 1k-2.5k, but we'll probably get a better idea on next week's chart.
