The current music scene is very minimalist and everything Gaga does is so maximalist. It's kind of wild that something like Abracadabra did as well as it did in 2025 because while we had Chappell, Charli and Sabrina in 2024 smashing by 2025 the shift was already taking place, by mid 2025 nobody even wanted a bar of Sabrina with Tears and House Tour doing nothing for her. DWAS is pretty minimalist, probably one of the reasons it did so incredibly well but I don't necessarily want more of that because while DWAS might be a highlight for Bruno, I don't see it as a highlight for Gaga artistically speaking.

I'd love to see Gaga work with Tame Impala again in a larger capacity than she did on Joanne, I think they'd strike the balance of Gaga's over the top gothic themes, he'd fulfil her desire to make interesting production choices in pop music while also keeping it fresh.

Honestly id rather see newer songs like ARUTW or Abracadabra get those 1M updates but at least we can see that her old hits are still well recieved by new audiences, some huge pop songs from 20+ years ago havent even hit 1B streams

Mayhem and Chromatica are maximalist in its sonical composition; Pulling a 180 like a Joanne is both expected and unexpected at the same time.

I adore the idea of reconsidering working with Kevin Parker again. Perfect Illusion was a standout throughout her lead singles, and to this day, it sounds fresh.

Sure we can do another JJK fight with Judas or the Paparazzi dubstep mix, but when are we going to see a Frieren edit with LoveDrug, or Daemons of the Shadow Realm fight scene with Sexxx Dreams?

Took my like right back after getting to this part. Sure, DWAS is more minimalist compared to most of Gaga's work. However you're severely undermining how much of an ARTIST you have to be to make an instant classic like that. Gaga was the most-listened to female artist on Spotify in terms of Halloween. I expect the same to happen again this year. Her and MJ are the current king and queen of Halloween.

She has Abracadabra and Bloody Mary that can get big boosts.

I'd put a conservative estimate for her Halloween figures. If Abra manages to do 700K consistently for the entire month of October, I'll consider this a win.

I've been getting a playlist ready of songs I want to play during the dance part of my wedding next year, and one thing I really wanted was Telephone ft. Beyoncé and Britney since we have Britney's leaked vocals and it would be a fun and easy way to incorporate one of my favorite pop girls within the limited time allotted in that segment. I was gonna make it myself since most of the versions on YouTube aren't quite what I wanted, but finding her stems proved impossible and then I happened upon this one, and it's pretty damn close to what I envisioned! Just wanted to share here in case anyone else ever wanted a good quality version featuring Britney as well.

Separately, I found this one which is SUCH a bop, though much more in the vein of the demo (which isn't bad, just not what I would want to play).

I always liked Telephone, but it's always been below my absolute faves from Gaga, and I low key had forgotten how good it is until this process. I've been (re)obsessed with it for days.

I just randomly hummed Just Another Day while strolling in this nice sunny weather.

It's summer, DWAS is at odds with her catalogue.

But… we're not doing PopGa vs. BalladGa when Abra is cuckolding for DWAS on mayhem, and the other new popga songs are lowkey n/a
