I'm always kinda baffled when I do see Ariana Wicked praise tbh Because that is literally just her current irl persona. The voice is her popstar baby voice combined with her impression of a transatlantic accent. The acting is all the same stuff they had her doing on Nickelodeon 15 years ago, combined with the recent fragile white persona she adopted when she decided that she didn't wanna be blasian anymore. Her & the crew made no effort to connect her to the source material (Glinda from The Wizard of Oz)

That said, maybe she'll do something better later on. But I don't think this award season, or the last, was ever gonna be hers

I would like that, it's a shame that Vanish Into You never got the push it deserved. It might not have smashed but would've kept the era moving.
