Variety hates her and is always shady, she really should find other publications to give the time to.

But yeah, YT is good for easy access even if it means it's not really going to get much promotion as it would with like, HBO or something.

They can save that for the MAYHEM Film.

So I take care of myself as much as I can on the road, and I'm finding that that's leading to a lot of songwriting, which is the best."

Seeing her approach making music with a rejuvenated creative spark while being visibly happy and healthy and in love is so nice, the great music and artistry is the cherry on top. LG8 will be incredible (goes without saying)

So mant exciting things were confirmed in that interview: the Harlequin performance being more eccentric than her typical jazz shows, her wanting to create more jazz albums, her actively writing songs at this very moment.

It really feels like we're projecting this idea that she's gonna go on a hiatus after Mayhem when all signs are pointing to the opposite.

Also, f**k off with that fan making that Volantis remark in almost 2026 sdjsdjsdj Artpop stans really can't help themselves. Let that era die already.

And that's exactly why she'll continue to thrive for decades to come and keep getting better as she hones her craft further. A lifelong student of music and life. We chose the right artist.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, but I am BEGGING her to take on more than just Tony Bennett style lounge singer pop. Harlequin is well produced, and her take on the songs is fine. But if she really is keeping this as part of her artistic output, why can't she experiment further? The standards being covered is usually pretty uninspired. I'm not even a huge jazz fan, but I feel like she could find the best of both worlds so that the majority of her fans still enjoy the work.

Harlequin is at least the first jazz release she didn't feel the need to showcase with a hag blonde up-do and Macy's prom dresses (and the black curly hair lasted 5 minutes), so if she's serious about bringing more experimentation into that area of her career, I'm all for it.

TBH think Tiny Desk is done for the year. They didn't post any today. She could do it in January, but it'll make no difference with GRAMMYs by then so it'd be more just for fun.

She better retract that quote where she mentions Disease being the first single from MAYHEM before someone makes another thread

Like jazz doesn't need to be boring or mostly covers. She could very well serve interesting visuals, write songs and all that for a jazz release. If she does a Tony album without Tony it would just be massively boring and a waste of potential.

I've said this a couple times but tbh I think that when she's old, her music will primarily fluctuate between Tony-esque jazz, Elton-esque power ballads, Rolling Stones-esque rock. There'll be more Hold My Hand, more Folie a Deux, more All I Need Is Time, more Just Another Day. And everyone here is gonna be pissy about it, but idk I'll listen
