officially announcing the bday reissue would make too much sense… let's drop 4 remixes that nobody asked for!

The remix is so bad lmao, Jay is washed cause he is 56, I don't care to hear him on Bey songs anymore and I hated EIL so bad.

I'm actually loving the acoustic version.

Would love to hear her do this live in a simple setting.

I have no idea how Donk generates interest in the B'Day reissue.

It would have been cool to have a remastered single, or rerecorded with 2026 vocals. Or reissue some of the videos in HD, reedited by Bey.

Where is the vinyl pre-order? She could use this reissue to launch a series of reissues across her catalogue and special collectors edition vinyls. I would buy them all.

I feel it's coming, but in true Bey style, it will be relatively last min and not maximizing the lengthy lead-in window (not sure I'll forgive her for doing that with CC).

At the same time, there is a small part of me that hopes this is more of a digital execution, as I feel it will mean we'd be closer to Act III (which would get the all-out treatment) than currently feels to be the case right now. We'll see.

Hmm I guess. Catalogue reissues are now an established part of how labels and artists maximise the value and impact of an artists discography. So many artists have done this, and lots to a very high level (Taylor, Mariah). There is a playbook that Parkwood just pick up and copy. It's not hard to do well, but easy to make it underwhelming. If she doesn't make it an event for fans, it won't translate into sales/cultural moment.

She is normally the remix queen but the Jay verse/change in instrumental doesn't fit the original vibe at all

she completely ruined what made Donk good, and you know damn well she will perform the remix if she performs it on tour
