It was originally tipped as the second single (she was going in an electronic-but-world music direction singles-wise) until EOT (1) leaked and (2) RTW underperformed. The label panicked, and rush-released approachable single BTINH.

The main singles run probably would've been:

1. RTW (Girls)

2. End Of Time

3. Best Thing I Never Had

4. Countdown

5. Love On Top

6. Party

An EOT video was commissioned, but no video was ever shot. Teyana Taylor announced in 2016/7 that her iconic choreography in Kanye West's "Fade" video was actually for Beyonce's "End Of Time" video, but Beyonce's pregnancy shelved those plans. A video planned for her gifted collab to Mary J. Blige ("Love A Woman") was also scrapped.

Maybe you haven't listened it in a while, but I agree that the Mixing and Mastering of JOLENE is extremely crisp and lovely on the ears.

those were only rumours by the beyhive (just like the save the hero mv), she lost an opportunity to make eot a promo single like 1+1 tbh

Finally found a reaction channel that was blown away by Daughter and not just the opera part. If Taylor Swift made that song she'd be praised to high heavens.

edit: they DRAGGED Miley. They did not like her vocals at all. And they LOVED Leviis Jeans (I like it too but everyone else hates it).

Idk - church girl's sin is the manic production. there's like two layers too many on that track. it's BDAY loud. I think the live version works for me because the live arrangement isn't competing with Bey's vocals (when Bey's live, her vocals always win out). Sometimes on the record her vocals and the production sound like theyre having a fight to be heard.

Impeccable lyrics tho. It's a beautiful song.
