I'm interested to hear Bey tackle the rock genre and make it fun. DHY isn't fun/uplifting/joyous, nor is I Care, which are sort of her main forays into the genre so far. But all her lead singles tend to be joyful anthems. Here's some sounds I'd like to see her tackle;

Prince - Kiss

Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Can't Stop

Stevie Wonder - Superstition

David Bowie - Modern Love

I really hope we get it soon. My mom loves Beyonce, and her favorite genre is rock, she is SO excited. She just got diagnosed with terminal cancer, and I really hope she gets to hear the album while

I Care studio versions hits so hard lately. The infectious live drums, the added hi-hat during the 2nd verse, the acceleration with the bridge and her vocal performance. We really stan one of the greatest.

My bet is that there's one song on the album that has half a track dedicated to metal - in the vein of Pure/Honey maybe which was 50% ballroom and 50% 80s funk

i want trippy pink floydesque psych rock with the bass and synths of tame impala, not this old head geezer rock

I've been thinking about this and I also wanna say I think some of what you're looking for wouldve been covered by Cowboy Carter. American Requiem was pyschadelic rock with a country inflection. Desert Eagle, Bodyguard, Ya Ya also have a rock bent. I think the thing that will make Act III different is its lean into Rock n Roll, Funk, Blues, Metal, Punk, Pop-Rock and Blues.

you'll get both - how many times do we need to process that these trilogy albums are all-expansive genre swings

well the all-expansive genre swings better be less boring than whatever happens on CC between track 10 and 20

Can we compile the "theories" or deductions (based on first two acts) for what we can be expecting around what time for act iii, presuming the MET is going to be some form of promo for it.

Im thinking now that the MET can be the equivalent of the Verison ad for act ii.

Would love to see Brittany Howard on Act III, even as an instrumentalist/songwriter if not a full feature. Would make a lot of sense if Bey leans into Blues rock

Sound & Color is one of my favorite albums OAT jonny

Yall if Haley Williams makes it on this album I may just fall over. Like she's been on my collab wishlist for this album forever. gaycat6

She'd serve a very similar function to Post/Miley/Tems, so I could see it

seeing other artists release any videos at all suburban

The way the VMA Vanguard Award should have been renamed to have her name on it by now yet she stops all momentum. Not even a live tour performance video (Tyrant I'm looking at you)

She NEEDS to cover Elvis. The King. His live arrangements are something else (like hers). Dolly wouldnt let him cover IWALY. She could do a rock version to honour him

Act III's concept (the trilogy as whole) is basically a dig towards him and people like him, who've stolen music from Black people and never credited them.

One thing that pisses me.off is that 95% of songs/albums released today feel SO empty compared to Beys albums/music. Its honestly crazy.

Bey has so many layers in her music - the adlips, instrumentation, the progression, the subtle yet affect vocal adjustments and styles, the background harmonies. Its all so fully realized at each and every point.

Are you referring to the fact that he would always take half or all of the royalties for songs he covered? That wasn't exclusive for black artists, hence Dolly.

Dolly Parton didn't release any songs that were originally released by black artists...

Been watching videos from the CC tour. I miss her, damn it.

I have a sad feeling we are not getting anything in May.

I remember in her 2019 interview with Elle UK that she named two rock songs "Hotel California" by The Eagles and "Escape (The Pina Colada Song)" by Rupert Holmes as her go-to Karaoke selections. Interestingly enough Escape is a soft rock and yacht rock record, I can totally see her dabbling into those genres for ACT III.

She should ask St. Vincent to play guitar in one track. My two fave lesbos together, a match made in heaven and a dream come true
