she should definitely bring back things like the holograms as well, i still find it crazy that she's done like 3 world tours since she started using them in 2016 but never actually toured with them hoetenks

oh no, im so done from that

shes been using the screen effects since 2011 (rtw billboard) and im over those effects

she couldnt even make it work for mrs carter or the failed sweet dreams performance (later repurposed for 6 inch)

the holograms thing would be harder to pull on tour

well i'd rather her play around with holograms, different types of screens, props etc than the Pink acrobatics cosplay she loves to dosuburban

I think MET weekend will be a good one for us.

Hopefully chile.

Considering her touring demand is lessening right now in her standard markets (CCT compared to RWT) it doesnt make any sense for her to create a new stage for the next tour. It makes way more sense for her to reuse the main elements of the stage she's used in her previous two trilogy tours (the long runways into the audience, the giant landscape screen with the central portal, etc.). Not just for finances, but for the purpose of sticking to one visual language throughout the trilogy.

Her touring demand is not lessening. What she did with CCT was much ****** and impressive than RWT. She did a stadium residency..ONLY Taylor is doing that to that extent.

Beyonce knows what works for her and what to do.

I don't know about that, she kinda saturated demand in some of her key markets (big metropoles in NA and Europe) just by the fact that she toured them intensively within two years. We all know the logical step from this point on, but she herself kinda said it out loud. She most likely will never tour other markets again, at least not in the foreseeable future.

I think what will help is that people will understand that act iii is the final act of the project and the demand will be propelled by the fact that we do not know when she'll tour next.

COWBOY CARTER had no such benefit. It was directly after a huge tour and clearly was preceding a final one. And it did pretty well for being only nine cities total.

This has some great potential for the next tour. I wonder why it wasn't used last year?

I think they were correct to cut this from the tour... it seems... not clear what's happening.

One of the most beautiful parts of the RWT, imo, was the glittery silver background thing inside the big circle. When I realized it was really sparkling and not a digital screen... it's so pretty.

Her touring demand is lessening in her usual markets (UK, N/A) and we can see that based on the slower ticket sales the CCT experienced compared to RWT, despite fewer dates in fewer cities. It simply did not do as well, although it still should be considered an astronomical success. I'm just pointing out that it wasn't as hyped, and that's ok! We all know here that RWT had a different level of interest attached to it.

Exactly what I'm trying to say, yes. This is why it would be cool for her to finally tour South America and Oceania.

I hope act iii brings back some hype, but I think it depends if the album is more Don't Hurt Yourself or more Schoolin Life. If she leans more into the funkier side of rock n roll we're in for a massive treat. But if it's too dad rock then normal people won't be too bothered about missing the tour.

I wouldn't consider Don't Hurt Yourself "dad rock", but I see what you're saying.

I actually don't think the sound of the music will matter all that much. Like I said, it's the final act of the trilogy, that itself is hype, and it's realistically not happening until at least 2027. And, it's not like country is a fan-favourite genre from Beyoncé, or even from most people. It's one of the most polarizing genres ever. There's no type of music I've ever heard someone add at the end of "I like all must but..." except country. And still she sold out stadiums internationally where country isn't even popular.

All I know is… Ty better be gone before the act iii era starts, same way KJ Moody was gone after the Renaissance era ended.

all this tour talk reminded me of that person having a mental health crisis talking about terrorism in here

Also dont judge me cuz its my personal feelings. This is the tracking for CC that would've worked better and slayed harder:

  1. American Requiem

  2. Smoke Hour 1

  3. 16 Carriages

  4. Protector

  5. My rose

  6. Blackbird

  7. Texas Hold 'Em

  8. Smoke Hour 2

  9. Bodyguard

  10. Dolly P

  11. Jolene

  12. Daughter

  13. Alligator Tears

  14. 2 most wanted

  15. Levis Jeans

  16. Flamenco

  17. Linda Martell Show

  18. Ya Ya

  19. Oh Luisiana

  20. Riverdance

  21. 2 hands 2 heaven

  22. Tyrant

  23. Sweet honey buckin

  24. Amen

So you got rid of the most important "genres are a very funny thing" statement from Linda Martell herself in "Spaghetti," removed "Just For Fun," and also removed ode-to-Thundercat "Desert Eagle?" What was the point?

The album now flows better, but without the punchline of the social commentary and without the only other current Black man in country on the project.

We need another psycho to make a bomb threat, how did we go from terrorism to fatshaming

still gagged at this look.

One of my favorite looks along with the red leather outfit with the silvery snakes on her outfit and her black boots.

She needs needs NEEDS to incorporate elements of funk in act III.

To be fair shows with 3+ were badly planned. Other artists mostly do weekends. Out of the 5 LA shows, only 2 were on the weekend, 1 of them being a Sunday rip It should've been 4/5 on weekends.

It was

Monday, Thursday, Sunday, Wednesday, Friday.

It really should've been

Friday/Saturday, Tuesday, Friday/Saturday.

It's not the sole reason obviously, but demand will be less for that many shows in one city and then you put most of them on a weekdays. rip

As for Europe. Demand is still big there, she hasn't toured Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Denmark in a long time so time to revisit those and she hasn't even filled the demand in France with the last 2 tours. Germany sold out fast on the Renaissance tour, so she could do 5 nights there. Probably 4/5 nights in Amsterdam too.

UK sales were slower, but it was another poorly planned expensive mess. Why was there 4 shows on weekdays out of 6? rip

Too many BS presales and a lack of her hyping the tour up. She never posted any times of the sales or about any extra dates. Didn't use Tiktok which is the best promotional tool for music and touring.

Australia is a must and she should do 4/5 nights in Brazil too. She hasn't gone to Mexico since moving to stadiums either.

YA YA is truly one of her greatest masterpieces.

I know that people love to cite II HANDS II HEAVEN as the album's << VIRGO'S GROOVE >> moment, and in vibe I agree with that comparison but to me the jewel of COWBOY CARTER is YA YA. It's so immersive, that fake live performance aspect somehow works, it is fun and schmaltzy without being corny, kitchsy or costumed. Like VG's, it is the kind of song you can only create (let alone perform the execution part well), when you are an expert at what you do. The Beyoncé of Dangerously in Love would have succeeded at it (Work It Out proves she had what it takes), but the seasoning would be so, so different. Beyoncé's knack now is being able to be so highly referential but situating it so firmly in her own musical landscape that it feels renewed, fresh, reinvigorated.

It's 4/20. I'm stoned.

Also one of the first times I heard YA YA high I was standing and my knees actually weakened under me when she said "put your lips on my lips and strum me like a guitar"... at first I giggled and then I visually mapped out the symbolism, the sex act, the confident dominance of the lyric and I felt faint, a rush came over me, and then I went back to doing dishes.

yea CCT dates were poorly scheduled. if she does the mini residency idea again, she should do:

3 nights = Thu, Sat, Sun

4 nights = Wed, Thu, Sat, Sun

5 nights = Fri, Sat, Tues, Wed, Fri

i would recommend Fri-Sat-Sun lineup but actual singers/performers need rest.

TZuccBZ.gif

I'm happy that Bey didn't just model her whole career as just a great performer and vocalist. I'm happy she decided not to be basic and just rest on her talent and actually elevated to being an experimental artist. Dangerously in love, b day and 4 aren't bad albums but the run from Self tilted all the way to Cowboy Carter is so impressive.
