Praising The Gift and EIL, but disrespecting B'Day and calling it "Bidet" is just insane. B'Day (Standard) is just bop after bop with 0 skips. An essensial Bey album of the 2000s. Also, 4 has BTINH AND I Was Here which instantly brings it down several points

Bidet sounds under- produced and mixed, even by 2006 standards. anyone with functioning ears can hear that, I'd hope.

Bey has no bad albums, so we're just nitpicking the issues that matter to our own tastes. I love crisp, layered, well-mixed audio. you love music that sounds like it was recorded and produced through taped phone calls in comparison.

NTM! B'DAY was recorded in 2 weeks, our sis didn't have time to perfect the mixing. She got in the studio, hooted and hollered melodically for an hour and ran out the studio.

The original B'Day track list is insane. It's such a good listen. You guys are crazy. It's Rennie's sister. It's about FUN and letting go. I wish we had 10 more albums from her in that head space.

That's what so great about it. It was instinctive, driven by a NEED to record after Dreamgirls. It's just pure energy with no filter, no big plan. No crazy concept. Just B!

that's what I'm saying. if she ever remasters it it'll be over for everyone. for now, that album lacks compared to her last 4 albums.

I agree though that it would be great if she released remastered versions of DIL & B'Day for their 20-year anniversaries with special vinyls that include some album photoshoot outtakes and maybe some previously unreleased tracks. I would instantly buy both. But we all know she's not interested in that, she already skipped DIL's anniversary, weird lady

B day is a great album and is better than Dangerously in love and I am sasha fierce but Self tilted, Lemonade, Ren and CC kills it lol. I also prefer 4 over B day. I will say B day is the album that best describes her over the top persona on stage which we love.

Not me thinking we had some news or anything about her party but it's just the usual hoes acting up as usual.

B'day was meant to sound like a live alberm and we know damn well it delivers. Every track works like a charm live. It's the original "Sasha Fierce" project (but only the woke hive gets that).

I meant what I said and I said what I meant! songs on B'day sound overcompressed. without enough layers in production, everything just equally loud af with no particular placement.

the details in production on albums like Self-Titled, Lemonade and Renaissance put that to shame.

Act III hopefully will have some B'day lineage & we'll have Ring the Alarm back on the setlist next year

There's something fun about how B'Day's singles actually followed the flow of the album too and therefore told a story themselves (until the deluxe was released)
