Do ya'll actually want Telephone 2? I don't. That time has come and gone imo.

No. Unlike Gaga and her fans, we're not trapped in nostalgia. Everything about Gaga they view through the prism of her short-lived imperial phase. They want Telephone part 2 because it reminds them of a time when everything Gaga touched turned to gold. A rehash of that time wouldn't work, and would probably flop. Its special because it was a one time thing.

As a Coldplay fan and casual Beyoncé enjoyer, I think her relationship with Chris is a perfect example of how she actually hates all the celebrity drama. He said in an interview for Rolling Stone that his only best friends are Dakota, the band and the kids. Bey would probably give a similar answer celestial5

Question for the culture, do any of you go out of your way to stream Rihanna?

I can't say that I do. I know and like all her hits except Stay. Rated R outeverythings my faves albums. But I cannot recall asking Spotify to play a Rihanna song in several months. I don't know why everyone suddenly worships her. When she was an active artist I feel like the same people that spam about missing her weren't talking about her. I bet they didn't listen to her albums then either.

I am wondering:

Since Bey loves surprises and the feeling of gagging us, she knows that we fully expect Act3 and it being Rock.

What if she worked on a 4th Act to GAG gag us? jonny

It would be an "epilogue" mama and my tin foil hat conspiracy ass still thinks it's gonna be the complete visuals for all the albums and maybe a couple tracks to close out the era as her own kind of "deluxe"

I love Rih, but I won't lie when I say her hits are so worn out. It's truly amazing how well her numbers are on streaming, but at the same time it's not surprising at all. Anytime I turn on the radio I'm guaranteed to hear a Rihanna throwback. Radio has her on heavy rotation all day every day as if Only Girl was released last week. She just really benefits from stacking hit after hit year after year for a decade straight. It's easy for the Gen Z/Millenials to navigate and stream 2010s throwbacks via Rihanna, but it starts to feel too commercial if you've already overindulged in the 2010s Pop playlists and categories. Bey's catalog post 4 feels more well preserved in this regard. No shade tho.

I think that is kinda the point though. Rih had so many hits, in such short succession (albums yearly) that people never had a chance to miss her. Now that there is no new material people miss it. Rih never had a huge fanbase that streamed albums because people never had to go out of their way to hear her.
