Convince Billboard to remove radio, streaming and sales from the chart.

  • D word i fear

  • It would be nice, but I don't think it's realistically possible specially because of ageism. Radios won't support her anymore, as we all know. She had a lot of problems with radios during her career a

She needs to make an album as a sexy grandma. I fantasize about this all the time.

Umm

There's an answer but I don't want to put that energy out there

Madonna hasn't a solo hit in over 20 years. She will never get another 1. She needs a collabo with someone like Taylor or Xtina to get another hit in general.

Xtina? :sabrina:

Xtina's last solo #1 was before Euro currency was implemented.

I don't think anything except massive Spotify payola. I do think most her fans are D... Because there was once a time she was outselling the younger girlies in her forties and even until MDNA. Some of y'all saying her d wording but ion think even that would work. Americans hate that lady.

I just realised xtinas last solo #1 is just as old as madonnas last :rip:

She's 67.  She has Mount Everest sized mountain to climb to break through this ageist as hell business to get another #1 in terns of radio play, playlisting, the algorithms.

I'm sure Madonna would steal Mariahs latest quote here...

"I think I've done enough."

I don't see it right now, but she doesn't need it. We throw the word legend around too often, but there are very few artists that truly have this status. One of them is Madonna

It would have been possible in 2010 but now...

She is absolutely a legend. It's just a shame that so many career missteps since 2010 have led to where she is. All she needed was a real hit during the Super Bowl to capture a new generation of fans and extend her longevity a little longer.

I do think there's an alternative universe that with the right career decisions and guidance, she could still be as popular as she was during Confessions today. She already dealt with ageism for a decade plus before that album and always came out ahead because of the simple fact that the music was good.

To be honest I think critical acclaim is more important at this point.

She'll never have another #1. Ageist listeners will never allow that to happen. I can see her having another decent solo top 40 hit though since Warner Bros is going to push this next album hard.

Maybe go the Running Up That Hill route and have an old song that never actually went #1 be featured in a popular nostalgia-based show then have it make a comeback on the charts (Holiday, Lucky Star, Borderline, Material Girl all good candidates).

I really can't see it happening... She should just be focusing on putting out her best work!
