I feel there are a number of people that had a certain prejudice against this song before they had even heard it and who now don't want to admit that it is actually excellent!

The Club Confessions appearances result in hundreds, if not thousands of clips circulating all over social media. This creates organic buzz. Let's not forget that her streaming numbers are the best they have ever been! This proves that the songs this time around have penetrated beyond her core fanbase. However, I do agree with you that more targeted playlisting wouldn't hurt!

As an 'album opener' IFSF does a better job at setting the scene...

I actually disagree. The guerilla marketing has worked wonders and I feel that a bunch of vapid TV appearances (such as Fallon) would break the spell somewhat...

Certain Monsters are truly suffering right now, as they have spent almost 20 years calling Madonna "washed up" and "a has-been", only to now find themselves living in a world where Madonna is being praised left and right for her enduring legacy, as well as her new album!

Born This Way is Gaga's best album for sure, but there is still plenty of filler, whereas C2 is a skipless album! C2 wins easily.
