This is kind of her worst album so far to me— or I just grew out of the juvenile nature of her songwriting style. Not sure

I'm trying to think of some other songs where Lorde belts like she does in the end of Shapeshifter, she should do that more she sounds so good  Shapeshifter might be my favorite song of hers, it's so good  

Favourite Daughter is growing on me slowly

i think this is my current ranking

Shapeshifter and Favorite Daughter are the ones that hit the hardest so far. I didn't really have time to focus on the album since it came out. Favourite Daughter is especially catchy.

What Was That still sounding fresh ugh I'm convinced it's among her top 3

HOW COULD I FORGET THE BEST SONG ON THE ALBUM CURRENT AFFAIRS

GRWM still not really clicking with me - like it's good for sure, a bop, and I enjoy it when I listen to the full album; but it's not very memorable or important on its own. And Clearblue is still my least favorite, even though I appreciate it and find it very important to the full album

 

But everything else, whew - oh Lordesy, we're so back; I'm sorry I judged you for releasing that flop third album of yours.

The Current Affairs guitar riff scratches my brain in the best way. It reminds me of Drugs You Should Try It by Travis Scott, another mega collapse. I've been playing them back to back & it's an excellent listening experience

- David / Favorite Daughter 

I hope she doesn't just tack those unreleased songs onto the end of Virgin and I hope her label aren't pushing for that to happen. She is already likely to go #2 US and #1 UK (her first #1 album there).

 

She should release a B-sides EP or album if she has enough tracks.

This is having the exact same burn as Melodrama did for me. Initial listen I was like "cute, I like it" but letting it sit and grow I'm just unable to put this album down. Each day I think I have a new favorite. Oh Ellaxcellent.

not a bad album at all! the expectations are just so high as she only releases every four years. My fav is If she could see me now, what a bop.
