would go further and say that no one really cares in general whether taylor's lyrics are great or garbage, there will always be some line that people will take out of context to drag her with that sounds fine in the song and that's all they want.

if someone hadn't pointed out the goofy line in eldest daughter (i guess we're talking about lambs to the slaughter bit? i honestly don't know what's wrong with title track and father figure sounds fine to me) i'd just think she was going off on one and let it pass me by, because most lyrics do just pass more or less everyone by except for miserable stans on the internet (and occasionally boring critics)
