I find it weird how they attack girlset when they have nothing to do with katseye at all. It's like they want Katseye to be the only global girl group out there.

As for the new gg, i only dislike Samara but if the music bops then i'll stream it anyway

Or maybe this is a pattern that hybe needs to stop repeating? Like, imagine if the new HxG group debuted with similar visuals, member number, and branding to katseye like ILLIT did with NJ? Cannibalizing & oversaturating the market isn't doing anything for music or art. These SHEIN tactics just fill their pockets to pay Tag PR and buy prostitutes. You guys need to stop supporting shady business practices

It's disingenuous to hate on this pattern now when katseye is a product of it. When katseye was debuting there were new jeans stans saying it was taking resources away from them. Even going as far as saying Touch was riding off the sound new jeans started.

 

Anyone who listens to kpop should have self awareness that it is deeply commercialised and trend hoppy

The only similarities between the two now is the girl crush image. But badass girl power GG have been a pop staple since the spice girls. Katseye itself is just the pussycat dolls concept updated for gen z

Btw, the snippet is a post-chorus, also called a refrain. It's not the chorus.

IVE's mini is horrible. XOXZ has cute verses, but the chorus is the letdown of the year so far and their other comebacks have been worse.

IVE has had the most drastic drop in quality for any 4th gen group. Going from Eleven, Love Dive and Kitsch to literally offkey choruses outside of their range.

I'd rather set up a music camp to create 2009-2010 SNSD-like music if that's what SM really wants (they should tbh). They could make Gee and Oh! 2.0, so far the group sounds so... standard.

How could Katseye cannibalize their other groups when they aren't even a K-pop group? Just because K-pop fans listen to them doesn't make them a Korean group lol. Makes no sense.

Majority of their fans are kpop fans. There's more overlap in katseye and new jeans fans than someone like Addison or tate mcrae

I tried.  As @Zack said, the company remains a mystery.  It started with fromis_9.  No one knows where the money is coming from.  The name listed as CEO could be just made up.  On a song credit, the name "TOMY" uses the same KMCIA# as the CEO, but that's just useless info for now.

 

It's probably a BPM situation where some music producer/executive got ahold of some angel financing and set up a pure artist/client agency whose main purpose is essentially HR.  If the company appears to know what it's doing it's because the artist/talent is the one calling the shots because they're paying for everything (or someone who reeeeally likes them is paying for everything).

 

That Wendy came along probably has something to do with the crossover between people who started at Pledis and ended up working at SM, such as that former Pledis staffer turned SM VP of SEA who resigned from his position to save Pristin V by launching Hinapia.  Remember, it was SMC&C that produced Idol School, and thus rigged the foundation for fromis_9.
