Ugh right, I'm obsessed with it now :jonny2: I'm so happy they finally gave us a cvnt comeback, wish there was at least one dance banger on the mini but it's good anyway

Top 3 K-SOTY so far

1. Dirty Work

2. Rich Man (Teaser version)

3. Dark Arts

:jonny5:

Ryan Jhun  :rip: that Rich Man teaser...let me keep my opinions till the full song is out

Angel #48 sounds cute, of course KENZIE and LDN Noise are involved

The way My World would have been the perfect first full album if they didn't put the rest of the B-sides on Drama :monkey:

I know they had to rework that title after LSM left but it should have been a standalone w/ Trick or Trick as the only B-side

Yeah the mini was underwhelming compared to their past output, but I'm not complaining about the songs. They suit the girls a lot and they do it justice, even though I still can't get with Wild Bird like that lol. XOXZ is excellent though.

It's grown a lot on me after several listens, Wild Bird is easily the weakest song, still listenable though

This lil cute Off the Record sister :jamming:

They did mother Naevis dirty, stealing this from her :toofunny3:

rich man sounds good BUT the other parts of the songs also has to be good, like i wasn't a fan of XOXZ when they first teased that chorus but the overall song is good

rest of the mini also sounds cute, nothing amazing but still nice

People dragging the aespa medley and in the same breath forcing themselves to like the IVE mini.

The switcheroo always comes doesn't it.

this is like my biggest issue with their minis, IVE EMPATHY was also mostly mid tempo songs :rip: which is fine since i also like them but we need more upbeat fun song

IVE SWITCH remains their best

Wait Jessi dropped a new song 2 months ago? How am i just finding this now

Because she left her old company and didn't promote her new single

not you f#gs switching on aespa :deadbanana2:

they're building their legendary discography. they CANT serve dramas, supernovas and whiplashes forever. dirty work is a complete 180 from those 3 and rich man is about to be another complete 180 from dirty work. they're trying to prove something and showcasing their range. this is all for the plot :clap3:

rich man isnt even bad the dramatics :rip: the album sounds pretty cohesive to me

Guessing they'll be skipping the remake of "We Don't Stop." :fish1:

Legendary discography is definitely an overstatement considering their b-sides are almost always filler. half of aespa's b side discog sounds like demos from other SM acts like Red Velvet and the other half sound like TikTok attempts at getting a viral hit from some random songwriter who posts and says "omg who wrote this song of the summer :chick1:". They willingly release NCT scraps from time to time and also have songs that are very clearly written for other groups (even on this new EP Bubble sounds like a RV demo). Whiplash as an EP was a step in the right direction after they dropped the ball with b-sides for a long time but it seems like they're losing the plot more and more as the days go on.

Rich Man's preview sounds fine, it's clearly the outro of the song. It's not a standout teaser and Dirty Work isn't a very good song with how manufactured and put on the entire thing is. aespa used to have this spark and really stood out with how powerful their singing abilities were. That's been gone since Supernova and it isn't looking like it's coming back based on the output we're getting.

Oh the ******* excellence :jonny6: it's crazy how spoiled we were during IVE SWITCH

also can't forget the heavenly last chorus of HEYA

this mini was truly their creativity goldmine in terms of sound and composition
