ARMYS were so hyperfixated on SKZ that they didn't even realize their favorite company HYBE that they love to defend are most likely campaigning for CORTIS to win the award and potentially become the first K-pop group to take home a GRAMMY before BTS. It's all part of HYBE's plan to position CORTIS as the next big thing in K-pop, and here are ARMYS so fixated on JYP and SM groups when it's BTS' own company they should be worried about

It's so funny how ARMYS constantly change the narrative. First, it was "how dare SKZ submit to this category," "SKZ are desperate for Western validation," and "the GRAMMYS probably going to hand the award to SKZ." Then, once it's actually confirmed that SKZ never even submitted to begin with, suddenly it's "they were never going to get nominated anyway" and "they're just trying to copy BTS", like you can't make this up

Like what was even the point of joining the Recording Academy voting members then? Sick and tired of their humble, organic and "artistry" bs or whatever Like, there's literally nothing wrong with being hungry for global and mainstream recognition like any other artist. This is exactly why SKZ will never be able to reach the next level, they're too focused on being "authentic" or whatever in an era where authenticity alone isn't going to get you anywhere. BTS simply chose not to submit because they were aiming for the bigger categories, but SKZ has no business not submitting when this is literally their only realistic chance of ever getting a GRAMMY nomination. The category was literally created to give non-mainstream Asian artists like them a chance at getting some recognition

My theory is also that HYBE will campaign heavily for CORTIS. They're most likely getting a nom and might have the highest chance of winning among the K-pop acts. The fact that "Redred" is primarily in Korean and has barely any English lines is especially unusual for a HYBE group, which makes me wonder if BIGHIT had the new Asian category in mind from the very beginning
