Are OGHs being obtuse on purpose?

Featured Replies

They know that Harlequin is merely a side project and still it had the highest debut for a jazz album in history. Yet they are trying to drag these numbers?

Are little monsters being obtuse on purpose? They seem to love when certain other artists' side projects do abysmal numbers as well.

  • OGH are not being obtuse. Many are simply stupid. Hope that helps!!

  • Coping with the fact that she might oust Billie and Sabrina as having the biggest female hit of the year… I'd be mad as hell too!

Yes, much like the Monsters were about other artists' side projects.

They'll switch when LG7 lead is a bop or stay miserable. Either way I pay them dust.

No, they see--very correctly--that it is flopping. Hope that helps!

Yes they're still hurt that members of our base were obsessed with a star-studded a-list collaboration album connected to one of the biggest movies of the past decade that also eventually got its own feature length film flopping just as hard as Gaga and her "chained to Vegas" band singing some Judy and Sinatra tracks.

There are already several posts referencing it in this thread. Harlequin truly was a Gift.

ATRL ignores context.

those numbers attached to a full MPG project WILL be laughed at

Don't take them too seriously. They're used to fail everyday. We all know Gaga is having one of the best years of her career.

Such as…?

There is no world in which an album full of 100-year-old JAZZ COVERS outdoing pop "comebacks" is somehow "abysmal".

Maybe. Personally I save myself for the absolute TANKERY that will be her new movie.

Oh boy LMs are gonna be clinging onto "biggest jazz debut" forever now won't they? It's Gaga. A mainstream artist. She could do the most niche underground genre and she'd still have the biggest debut by default. It's not really a flex, especially when the "competition" consists of formerly famous crooked 80 year olds or complete nobodies :rip: The gp checked it out and dipped. The same gp who gave her hits outside of dancepop.

I think they like to wind little monsters up and ngl you guys are kinda insecure which makes it more fun for them

It's embarassing that Gaga only outstreamed the flop of the millenium by 400k with 2 more tracks and almost twice as many monthly listeners.

It's embarassing that a Gaga side project outstreamed the "comeback" album of one of the biggest stars of the 2010s.

Both things can be true at the same time. Hope this helps!:ryan3:

harlequin is their first win in years after Love 4 Sale so just let them :toofunny3:

We are calling y'all obtuse or, more accurately, stupid, because jazz is a dead genre to the GP.  All of your faves would be lucky to pull these numbers from a jazz project, that's the truth.  :coffee2:

LFS did 1.1M right? So its huge debut for a jazz album with 2 original songs????

No, some of them are trying to take revenge because of Katy total flopage (as if Gaga flopping was gonna help Katy in some way) and apparently some others are taking revenge because they got mad about being told that a similar project from Beyoncé was a flop, because other artists can flop but not Beyoncé.

Additionally there is this narrative about Gaga only being successful due to being attached to a movie, or other artist (even if she wrote the song that smashed) or a lot of things apparently very easy to do, but that for some reason only she does.

My favorite posts are the one saying that how could be Harlequin a side project if after the success of the first C2C everyone treated that album as a main Lady Gaga release.

Honey, C2C was as considered a success AS A JAZZ COVERS ALBUM. If any pop girl does the numbers of that album with her main pop record we will all calling It an underperformance at the very least.

No, it's not on purpose. They're genuinely stupid from years of letting stanning rot their brains.

Even when they think they win, they lose. Gaga has had the biggest song in the world for 30+ days straight and it's been killing them to see the 10 and 11m+ updates every day. If they have to latch onto a side project to feel better about themselves, then I guess that's what they have to do. :ahh:
