I like the idea of her running just so she can push the eventual centrist nominee to the left and open some Americans' eyes to the ideas of the left, but if this means she has to step down from her role in the House, that would be sad... even though she'd obviously win again if she ran after the election was over.

What's funny about this whole "she hasn't had a solo hit since 2011" narrative is that it has clearly done absolutely nothing to hurt Gaga's career or longevity. Her last album and era gave her some of her best sales and biggest hits in a decade, her most acclaimed album, more Grammys, and her most successful tour. The "solo hit" argument only really matters when chart success is all an artist has going for them. Gaga has clearly been able to sustain her success and legacy without meeting this completely arbitrary metric you all suddenly decided was important after Shallow became massive. At this point, it mostly feels like something you cling to because she's still here and thriving despite some of you seething ever since that 2011 #1. lol

Every single one of Gaga's collaborators, whether producers, instrumentalists, or other singers, have praised the way she contributes and works on her music. The CRAZIEST thing about this Crockett saga is that she would've won her election in the new district that was created in Texas. Her entire thing was about how TX drew her out of Congress and so she ran for Senate BUT SHE DID NOT NEED TO DO THAT. She was a dumbass who thought she was bigger than she was. She pulled a Katie Porter with her ego and ruined what could've been a lifelong seat in Congress. Girl, shut up. I'm trying really hard to ignore this fact and go on about my day. Thankfully, these diseases are very rare and generally not easy to contract. But you could argue that's partly because the safeguards we've had in place for decades have kept them that way. If those safeguards are now being systematically dismantled, though, it does raise the question of whether we could start seeing more cases. I think it ultimately comes down to if we can continue to keep mad cow disease at bay as that seems to be where most prion disease cases in humans come from when it comes to meat. "The disease rarely happens today, with fewer than one case per million cattle worldwide." All it takes, though, is one selfish small farmer not wanting to slaughter a sick cow and take the financial hit so they sell their meat instead. But with farmers processing their own meat, would we even know where infected meat came from? How does any of this work. I did find a local farm I'm going to try stocking up at, though. I'll take one for the team and test whether small farms can be trusted.

I am genuinely so scared by this whole beef/meat thing. Allowing farmers to process their own meat is going to result in thousands if not millions of people getting really, really sick. There is a reason we don't allow farmers to process their own meat. I use beef all the time in my cooking and so I'm gonna have to ******* find a local farmer and just start stocking up. Thankfully, I just bought a deep freezer so I can fill it up but my God you guys need to think about doing the same if you are a big beef/meat consumer. good luck to us all.

Typically we see vitality translate to some kind of boosts for an artist's current projects (like Bloody Mary and Mayhem), but people ignoring WIB and Bandaids is weird. Organic boosts should absolutely be translating but they're not? I wonder what's behind that. Surely people who listen to objectively good songs like TOTGA think to themselves, "what is Katy up to in 2026?"
