Max Martin didn't produce Gorgeous..

the way Crush sounded like it might be a minor bop but the chorus is just so dumb and mind numbing

 

I'm only listening to the iTunes snippets but I can tell there's something missing… the Katy Perry quirkiness that was present on all her other albums isn't here. Smile has much higher highs and so does Witness. Everything here feels kinda bland. Gorgeous, Crush, All the Love, Artificial, Truth and Wonder sound good. Her vocals are on point.

 

Artificial should have been the lead tbh. It's the most unique but also has a classic Katy feel. 

Artificial could have been the E.T. of the 2020s if she released it first

Despite being about love, family, and confidence, everything sounds so lifeless  also why put a near-breakup song like Truth right before the end

The album has strong melodies imo, maybe her strongest since PRISM.

 

It lacks personality tho ngl it's like a Dua lipa album (no shade i love her)

All 4 of the songs with features do not fit with the rest of the album, like at all. Those songs all have a hip-hop feel to them while the other 7 songs are all dance/pop. I don't get it?

i was gonna listen to this for a kii but it's just gonna be more boring than funny tbh 

The album is better than I expected
