Never thought Kesha would get this popular again. re. remixes, I did this remix of the forthcoming Love Forever (slow jam style, changed the chorus) if anyone is interested. I'll stick it in a spoiler as the original isn't out yet. And I'm not pro, but reasonably competent, so if anyone is remixing Boy Crazy and needs it mastered I'll do it for them. For free, obviously.

There's an interview with Grant Boutin in this month's Sound On Sound magazine, if any nerds want to nerd out on how So Close To What was made. The whisper chorus in Sports Car was Julia Michaels' idea. It was inspired by the Ying Yang Twins - Wait (The Whisper Song).

They did a twitch stream breaking down the track yesterday. It's based on a sample of Dooyo by the Dur Dur Band.

Some of the singing could be tighter, but it's a great track.

Obviously nonsense. Because even if we ignore all the collab singles she's done with Guetta, Sam Smith, Chainsmokers, James Hype etc. IJWAR, Brrrr, King Of Hearts didn't feature Luke.

Turns out I've been promouncing Doechii wrong. For some reason I thought it was Doe-Eck-Eye.

Becky is very far from being the coolest, but she's got a decent festival set. Another "banger" to add to the list.

Flop is relative. Both of these singles will end up doing over 100m on Spotify in around a year.

Ironically the Intial Talk remix sounds less dated than the offical release.

Chasin' is pretty neat.

Calvin records used to sound different to standard dance fare: See The Light remix, Flashback, She Wolf remix, Stars Come Out , Waking Up In Vegas remix etc, but these days he's pretty generic.

These Katy tracks are better than Rain On Me, but we could do with a Purple Disco Machine remix.

I'm in the UK, i don't think it will have massive appeal here, it's sounds like many other records that have come out over the last few years. Unfortunately.
