Gorgeous is miles better than any of the singles so far

Artificial is E.T. 2.0

I feel like Gorgeous was made around late 2022-23 for FTB right after Unholy smashed and then Kim did that as a "sequel" with Max, Chloe Angelides etc but ended up scrapping it and used the actual Unholy for the album.

 

Then Katy picked up again. She said herself they rewrote the song multiple times to fit the vibe she was chasing for.

 

A similar thing happened with Thousand Pieces from the FTB album, where Kim did with Max and then Luke reworked on it later.

 

This is just a guess though. The song is a bop

Minute is a great song so sounding lole like that is only a compliment and a good thing

Gimme Gimme, Gorgeous and IHHM are the only good songs, we needed more of this trap vibe rather than the Becky Hill / diet CRJ cosplays 

Katy is known for specifically being POP her going urban would be the end of her so let's not even. We could only wish for her to put out something of the Carly Rae level and lane

i think everything would've been INSANELY better for her if she just dropped the album directly with no prior singles... like HMHAS

 

imagine all of that previous social media hype going to the album directly, and single choices were clearly trash too so it would've helped

 

Prism > TD > OOTB > Smile > 143 > Witless

 

the lyrics of Lifetimes really represent the whole album ：love you till the end and repeat it

apparently Gorgeous will be next single

My review: 

WW - I still like this song no matter the outrage that happened. It's cheesy power 2010 anthem just like old Katy 6,5/10

Gimmie Gimmie - Literally she sounds here like Kim Petras. I know most of the songs here are FTB outtakes but this went to far here. TRIPPY TRIPPY 5/10

Gorgeus - U*ho*y 2.0 ew but this time it's listenable 6/10 

I'm His His mine - bop BOP bop if Doja released this this would be #1 for 10 weeks on BB hot 100 tik tok would go crazy for this but it is how it is sad 8/10

Crush - OH I'M DANCING 7/10 

Lifetimes - everything I needed from Katy 10000000000000000000000/10 best song from album #1 in my room

All The Love - *sad dance* 7/10

Nirvana - DANCING IN BLURRY LIGHTSSSSSS oh DANCE ANTHEM. Drop could be a little better but it's still working 7/10

Artificial - E.T. 2.0 honestly. If I was Katy I would try push this as another single. It's different but with Katy touch in it 7/10 

Truth - *sad dance 2* 6/10

Wonder - What a cute song. Sounds like Avicii 2013 or something. 8/10 

 

I love dance music so it's not suprise I love this album. This album is everything I expected from it and she delivered. 10/10

doechii is the only solid collab on this album imo. woulda make it better~ don't really see necessity for other tracks

her worst album for sure (in my opinion), I've listened to it already a few times and nothing sticks at all, bland as hell, i think the lyrics is what truly annoys me the most. The only tracks that gave me some flavor were:

-all the love

-crush

But overall the album really doesn't go anywhere… 

The visuals ate down tho, too bad I just cant say the same about the music :(
