The production doesn't fit Sabrina at all. I guess since she's in Taylor's circle, she feels like she has to work with Jack Antonoff.

Yeah i dont like that whisper singing at all. Like sing godd*** . Expresso will stay winning this summer. I think this can go top 10/top 20 in its first week and hang around in the lower part of the hot 100 till the album with third single preferably a banger ready to go.

Oh sweetheart as if Jack or Pharrell haven't been praised and referenced countless times. The amount of number ones just proves that he makes basic music for radio plays which doesn't necessarily bring any personality to the songs.

not really fair to compare this to any of the girls who had multiple smash eras beforehand…

 

shes still developing as an artist, why waste any potential mega bop smashes when she already has one sitting nicely, that can come closer to the album release.

 

this song is nice and proves she has the capability of being versatile and shows her personality in full focus which is what is needed when developing any upcoming mega star… it's where dua went wrong for instance.

i think this is fine but probably not as big a hit as espresso. also knew that this thread would be full of people calling it trash and i wasn't disappointed

This is terrible I wondered what was going on the whole song then I come in here and see WACK produced it. All makes sense now

No i dont think so espresso is still smashing so hard. Another banger could have failed as espresso is too strong. Release the second banger in tandem with the album that way espresso will be near its end.

The song has potential, but it seems flat

 

I like the actual music, it's got a nice country 70-80s sound to it, but it's missing a big moment

Im not liking the max martin disrespect here. That man is a genius. He makes pop bangers that a lot of ur faves have as their biggest hits or signature songs. And he mentored dr luke and shellback to pop titans legacy too. So respect the genius. I mean the guy made the biggest song of all time. If i were a pop girl id work with Max martin constantly to have a career.

Jack Antonoff tries to do faceless basic radio bops but he's unable to get them apart from a few Taylor hits

Huge misstep to release this after Espresso - in my opinion. This kind of feels like when Kim released "If Jesus Was A Rockstar" after "Unholy" with Sam Smith.

This is amazing like a mix between Kacey Musgraves and ABBA

I'm sure she has better bops in the library - you know this was chosen as the next single because he produced it....urgh

It sounds like a Kacey Musgraves reject song  Idk why she's releasing new stuff so soon. She needs to ride that Espresso success all summer and push that even more. 

Meh...idk something is not clicking for me with this one. I thought this was going to overshadow espresso and take some of the spotlight but i am longer worried about THAT

The dramatics… it's not that deep. This song was never going to be a huge hit while espresso is still going strong. It more feels like a way to keep momentum going and to diversify her sound a bit. Im pretty neutral-negative about Jack but this song is legitimately good. It honestly gives me Chappell vibes mixed with old school country. And the MV is great
