Exes excelled from Greedy because the video showed a development of her dancing skills (especially to an upbeat song).

 

This is a downgrade from Espresso (lyrically, visuals wise, sonically)

 

But her commercial star is huge these apple music updates for a pop song... Ariana's daughter truly. I hope the rest of the album will be better.

I'm ready to stan this girl.

This is a grower rather than an instant earworm like Espresso. These types of songs like PPP are the type that build you a fan base tbh. Unconventional songs which focus on story or odd melodies etc thin out the heard and builds connections with fans whereas the instant bops like Espresso amass you GP fans. She's playing this era REALLY smart.

and ive stanned sabrina hard since singular... way before the swifites flocked to her and and are now using their weird Taylor logic to claim and defend her. no amount of chart updates or weird mind manipulation will make this a good song.

some of u rly need to learn there is something wrong with the art (and lowkey ur relationship with it) if you actively spend your time and mental energy TRYING to like a song or art.

 

ya sure art and music in general can grow on u and ur feelings on it can vary, but FORCING yourself to like it because of one's dedication to the artist and/or their success is so strange. i love sabrina but can admit this song does nothing to show off her vocals, has weak hooks, bland production and is subpar. the personality and harmonies are cute but still dont elevate what is undeniably weak at its core. 

 

 

This feels like a Maisie Peters track to me.

 

I'm yet to really see what identifies her as an artist. Espresso is a great song but it still feels like a Doja Cat reject.

I was one of those people initially let down by the song because I was expecting something punchier as a follow-up to Espresso. I also made the mistake of reading ATRL comments before listening to the song so I didn't really listen objectively.

 

A few re-listens and now I'm absolutely hooked (the way she says don't embarrass me mother-effer really scratches something in my brain). Maybe there are people in here who are forcing it but I also think this song is genuinely a grower. It's not this big punchy thing but there's a pleasant catchiness in its simplicity and Sabrina's tongue-in-cheek delivery is so satisfying (and a real trademark for the sound she's developing for herself), at least in my opinion. I don't think it's the worst song ever like some opinions in here but that's the beauty of musics subjectivity.
