Jhené Aiko - 'Westside Whimsy'
I love the title and the cover is gorgeous! I do agree though, her projects are bloated. They work as 'vibe out' records you can listen to from front to back, but if you're looking for standout "single" types of songs, they are muddle in there. Chilombo (amazing record) although bloated, worked better than "Trip" IMO. "Trip" was way too long, including the songs. Very excited for this one, we've waited 6 long years.

MILEY - "Bass Persuades"
So, I like it A LOT! However, I can hardly understand what she is saying on a lot of parts. Also it's very wordy, its catchy but wordy.

Jameela Jamil says botox is prison
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but why not just let people do whatever make them feel their most confident? I also agree that it can be overdone, but when tastefully done, I think it looks great. Again though, everyone is different.

MILEY - "Bass Persuades"
The teaser is SCREAMING big, main, pop girl energy. It's going to be one for the books, smilers!

2026 US Midterms Megathread 🇺🇸 Final Primaries 09-01 thru 09-15
I think Abdul is going to get elected, a BUNCH of DSA/progressives have won their primaries for the house as well. If not a majority, at least a good chunk will head over there. Which will help swing things into a more progressive environment (god willing).

2026 US Midterms Megathread 🇺🇸 Final Primaries 09-01 thru 09-15
I would be fine with a Kamala presidency, as long as we elect a progressive senate majority. It seems like she is going to have to change her views on a lot of key issues, (or revert back to her views during the 2020 primary). I can see her doing well enough to win, and hopefully as the country shifts back more blue, the policies that come out of her admin would be better as well.

Sam Smith's Hazel Eyes debuts with 6.5k (3.5 pure sales) units in the US
Wasn't there like zero promo? I had no idea he was releasing an album

Avril Lavigne - 'Under My Skin' appreciation thread
I remember listening to this album on repeat, for the entire summer of 2006 when I was visiting family in Europe. Something so cinematic, with so many core memories of playing this on my CD player nonstop. This album will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Trumps new message to Americans: "less holidays, get back to work"
It's like he wakes up every day and thinks to himself "how else can I ensure that we lose the midterms?". & we are THANKFUL!

Did Ariana's petal come and go?
I think it's probably a combination of multiple things. Yes, her appearance and the media blitz about her health being literally EVERYWHERE. Also, the album was experimental for her, and not as mainstream and an 'easy listen' as her previous work. I also have only listened to the record a handful of times but came to realize it's just not for me. I also understand that for some other people and fans, it's their favorite album by her.

Belinda x DANNA - "Dolce Vita"
WOW this is SO SMOOTH. The video is soooo stunning, too. I hope this is a smash for her. ALSO her album 'Wet Dreams' is also veryyyy solid.

Is Miley's worst era upon us?
I think it's a LITTLE premature, no?

Doja speaks on previous coke usage + mental health awareness in new TikTok
I am so here for an enlightened and more mature Doja! Speaking for myself, I was turned off when she was going off the wall just acting so unhinged. It seems like she is a lot more grounded now.
