Even if it succeeds, people say it won’t because it’s Camila.

 

I don't think it will succeed in getting her the overall superstardom that has eluded her (despite having at least one massive hit from each of her albums). But I do think that it will succeed in sustaining her musical career, keeping some interest in her music/project that might not occur if she gave us more of the same.

No it will flop into oblivion.

Her innate lack of coolness will kick in, I fear

 

she'll cement her place as one of the internet sensations like slayyyter, rebecca black, ag cook and dorian electra, etc.

Camila is d-list at this point. She's had hits, but in the music world she's a gen z Mandy Moore or a Jessica Simpson.

People know her name, but most don't actively seek her out. It's the same with Shawn Mendes, and I think their PR relationship had a LOT to do with limiting their launch potential.

 

 

Her new music and image will flop, and she will shack up with some c-lister and get a little quiet, à la Ashlee Simpson. There's no doubt.

Probably not. Hyperpop isn’t a genre that connects with the GP, and the second tweet only went mega-viral with 50 million views because people were making Hereditary jokes.

She really does have the most unpleasant tone of anyone working in popular music rn it's crazy

she shouldn't aim for hits with this sound. if it gets her a loyal niche it will be already be better than Familia and a win for her. 

 

She is doing famous features tho (playboy carti and rumors about drake and selena) so it looks like they will try to get hits with this sound, but it shouldn't be a priority tbh
