Beyoncé still has immense star power and a very dedicated fanbase. Do you think she can reach the highs of Dangerously In Love or I Am… Sasha Fierce again if she plays her cards right? Discuss.

Yes, easily

With streaming anyone can repeak. Kate Bush got her biggest hit like a year ago.

She's done it before so she can do it again. I see DIL through to IASF being her first peak and then ST and Lemonade being her second.

She could have with Renaissance if she played the game more :thing:

Of course it’s possible - but nothing from the REN doc indicates “repeaking” (especially commercially) is a priority for her.

Maybe but she's clearly not interested in that level of exposure again. She is clearly very happy in being able to do just exactly what she wants, when she wants to and exactly how she wants to.

No, but only because of her!

quote from her Renaissance the Film

”I used to be a people pleaser but I don’t give a F**ck how they think of me anymore” :flame:

the Stans should adapt the same mentality; as long as she continues to put out great music, she doesn’t own us ****!

Well, Kate’s peak is not comparable to Beyoncé commercially I think. DIL and IASF were massive eras, I think Future Nostalgia or Planet Her are good equivalents in the streaming era. It wouldn’t be that simple…

All she needs to do is release a bit more radio friendly music like “cuff it” and maybe promote her work slightly more.

Touring wise and in terms of acclaim, she still has room to grow.

But commercially, I don't see her ever getting a bigger album than 'I Am… Sasha Fierce' or bigger hits than "Single Ladies"/"Halo", even if she put her all in it.

I think she has mastered her performance aspect. There's nowhere but down for performance, but I don't see her slowing down performance wise until probably her early-mid 50s. As for the music, there's always room to grow for as long as there are genres she has not approached. I would honestly love a rock inspired album by Beyoncé.

can she? yes. will she? probably not.

its been over 10 years since she's played the pop game and the done the whole bit of promo, performances, videos, etc. i don't think she wants to make radio candy and do the rounds she did in the 2000s anymore. it seems like she's fine with dropping an album, touring, and doing a documentary as that's what she's done since Homecoming

Getting your biggest hit is not the same as repeaking

Look at Miley she got Flowers and what did that do for her career? A #3 album with no longevity 💀

She can have another Renaissance or Lemonade, but she won’t be having another I Am… Sasha Fierce or Dangerously In Love. She’s done with promo and playing the game. She can repeak artistically or with touring, and she is probably yet to have her most acclaimed work, but she will not repeak commercially, and that’s fine. She doesn’t need it.

Spoiler

Tho I voted for both anyway:eddie:

ofc she could if she wanted to, but she spent the last 10 years making it very clear that she does everything in her power to make sure that’ll never happen :rip:

Easily, yes. I still don't believe we've heard the best from her. I feel like she could definitely have a resurgence, similar to that of Madonna, Cher, Tina Turner and other legends that came before. She's still very young in comparison. All she has to do is construct a proper era and album campaign with strong promotion and visibility and she'll be there.

Didn’t she repeak with self titled? I feel like the Renaissance era showed that she can if she wanted to. She put in considerably less effort this go around especially with no visuals and she still did good with her tour and her movie.
