I think what we are seeing is a result of social media. The current roster will also change within the next 4-5 years. The speed at which artists receive attention is exponential and rare are those who will be able to keep garnering the public's attention. A lot of what is interesting now will fade for new faces eventually. Unless we change our media consumption habit, I don't think we'll see the true emergence of a superstar regardless of how talented they are.
