Trump fires Election Assistance Commission leaders
Well… everything you are saying about her is still hypothetical. No one knows exactly how a Kamala mandate could have gone. I don't know for the life of me. But chances are, she wouldn't trick the next elections to her advantage. 🥸

Trump fires Election Assistance Commission leaders
Hmmmm, well it's easy to assume the first part. Kamala is much more malleable than Biden, and clearly needed a backbone, which is also why she was defeated. In all cases, electing Trump brought further instability to an already quite unstable world. Only time will tell if this previous election was a fatal mistake for democracy in the US.

Well, choices (any really) or the absence of choice have consequences. It's impossible to deny the « what if Kamala had power now… would she create a climate where chances for a fair election be tarnished? »

2026 US Midterms Megathread 🇺🇸 Dem Primaries: AZ (7/21), GA & SD (7/28)
I'm not excusing anything. Having lived it, I recognize that it's part of a bigger problem, far beyond the grasp of the Democratic Party but of a faulty system and a rotten culture.

As I already said in a previous response, your problem is not specifically with the Democratic Party but with the systemic racism and Islamophobia that Arabs and muslims are subjected to in the US. I don't disagree that it is an issue. What I disagree with is singling the Democratic Party when in fact, it's a cultural problem within the US - and granted, that reaches far beyond the US.

2026 US Midterms Megathread 🇺🇸 Dem Primaries: AZ (7/21), GA & SD (7/28)
There are needs for a reform. Americans are racists, and have been brainwashed with images of Islamophobia for decades. It will take time, to resolve. It's not something unique to the Democratic Party. It's a systemic and cultural issue.

It's not about you being wrong or right… it's about this being in the past and a growing need to move forward. No need to linger.

Generalizations like these are simply not helpful… and really counterproductive in my opinion. Signed an Arab voter.

Should Shakira pull a Confessions II?
I'd really like an artsy-fartsy album by Shakira. I loved the singles she has served us and the pop star persona she embraced, but I sort of miss her actual songwriting roots. Do a big budget artsy album Shaki.

Viral tweets drag Taylor's hypocritical treatment of Olivia vs. Trump
We can criticize Taylor as much as we want but she is impeccable at crafting narratives, which is an essential and excellent survival tool in this industry. In my opinion, she's the best at it.

Viral tweets drag Taylor's hypocritical treatment of Olivia vs. Trump
I mean… especially when we know how calculated she is - not in a bad way - but it does seem like there are some inconsistencies to all of this. Then again, we don't know what happens behind closed doors.

Madonna - 'CONFESSIONS II'
Babe, not everyone is privy to her private life. I didn't know that but that doesn't mean that the articulation of her idea is well executed. It didn't resonate with me but I do wish her the best in terms of her life, and health obviously. you guys don't have to weaponize these things as soon as people do not enjoy something, you know. It makes it a bit vindictive and almost manipulative.

Madonna - 'CONFESSIONS II'
I really wanted to enjoy the album, but with that being said, I felt like it was sort of disingenuous. It almost feels like a non-party person wanting us to believe that they are a party person. It feels oddly out of place, although the production is super cohesive and very well rounded. Ironically, it is one of Madonna's best albums lately. I cringed too many times at the lyrics. The whole love wins shtick is just almost juvenile… and cringe. Not that i essentially don't believe that, more that Madonna can't convince me that this is really the message she is still trying to convey after 15 years. It just feels oddly disconnected. Production is wow, however. I was disappointed by the not so interesting vocal production, and it all almost feels pretty flat in general.

CBS journalist: Taylor and Travis have donated $26M to 20 charities
Please tell me where I said that? I think it's quite smart. Us yes. But you know how the story goes if Taylor is one of the biggest artists of our times. She's of course a gifted songwriter, but an artist needs much more than that to remain in the public eye and be relevant. This is a proper display of her smart approach at deflecting any criticism (which she will likely get for an expensive wedding) while still having what she wants.

Apparently not liking polygamy is not liberal leaning?
Hmmm… well it affects the way society work (dating specifically) technically so it does indirectly affect you. With that being said, being polyamorous is a preference, just like being monogamous is. None of them are better than the other but you either like it or don't. I've seen people on both sides of these spectrum try to convince me that their preference is better or superior. I guess tale as old as time; people just want to feel like they're making the right choices. No one should convince you that one is better than the other; it is for you to just listen to what you prefer.
