An amazing album. I remember I used to play this all the time as a kid. I still play Slow Down Baby, Understand, On Our Way and Welcome. 
 

She really found her sound with this album. And it fit nicely with the neo-soul revival of the time popularized by Amy Winehouse, Joss Stone, Duffy etc. 

Absolutely perfect. Talent, artistry, beauty, VOCALS, good taste… everything on the TOP! One of the best pop albuns and eras ever (and Disc 2 is her best work)

I would kill for her to do a direct sequel to this album.

This sound suited her voice so well. Would love a sequel.

Honestly, her magnum opus.  
 

I know Stripped is there, but Back To Basics is that girl.  Musically, lyrically, and visually all of it is perfection.  Even down to the album’s glossy booklet.  

Fit her well but Christina doesn't like doing the same thing over and over. Even in 2006 she was already talking about making a futuristic album, so Bionic was definitely coming 

B2B is that girl! The looks, the videos, the vocals, the photoshoot even the booklet paper is perfect. Xtina delivered quality.

 

Too bad I didn't appreciate it at the time, it was too mature for me.

Wish they relleased more videos back in the day 

the aesthetic is so good.

the singles slaps, the albums also have many great track.

The era deserved so much more, I don't know why it didn't meet Stripped success levels

 

Candyman, Ain't No Other Man and Hurt = a holy trinity and Slow Down Baby is amazing 

This era was amazing. She delivered top notch songs, amazing visuals and gorgeous looks. ***** really said 'you thought I did that with Stripped, well let me do it again'

 

I'm afraid she'll never top this masterpiece. Such a hauntingly beautiful and powerful song.

 

 

Her fans of livedaily were so tired of the red lips and the b2b era looks. They thought it was boring compared to stripped. I think it was too grown up still. Most of her fans were still in their teens and early 20s so it was too mature for them

Making the album double disk made it twice as expensive. I remember it being 22$ which is outrageous for teens. That was a very poor move on her label end. The era was also cut short which stall sales.

This was her last great era imo. Bionic could have matched it musically speaking but it flopped and the visuals/singles kind of fizzled out. Candy man was huge in the gay clubs, a bop. 
 

B2B had excellent visual consistency and branding. 

Her best era, tbh. She found a sound and look that really worked for her and really cemented it in people's minds. She should've stuck with this and made slight modifications here and there but overall stay with a retro look + more R&B-leaning music. Like Bruno Mars has.

 

Imagine if Burlesque had been released around this time?! 

Her best album, Save Me from Myself is her best song.

I had the impression that this era was huge back then. ANOM and especially Hurt were EVERYWHERE here in Europe. I was shocked to find out that this album is generally considered an underperformance.

Underappreciated masterpiece
