Copying and inspiration are two different things. Tate is BLATANTLY copying Britney. Britney was heavily inspired by Janet and Britney praised her every single time Janet's name ever came up during interviews etc so don't even try and spin a narrative that never existed.

Completely agree You can see the difference between a real artist with undeniable talent and nepo babies. Nepo babies in todays world tend to be barely talented, or extremely mediocre at best. The whole world is backwards. The most talented get nowhere, and the least talented make it. This is why I left the creative industries I worked in. Mediocrity always won, they play the game, and the people at the top love it. Those with real talent need to go independent to make it.

RCA are ******* trash. They sabotaged her vision and concept, and they did the same to other artists like Tinashe. I will say, they should have let her do what she did with Back 2 Basics - Disc 1 could have been the "RCA approved" version. Disc 2 could have been Xtina's original concept for the album. Disc 1 for Light (RCA's ****), Disc 2 for Dark (Xtina's vision). Sad. This could have been her magnum opus if they let her do what she wanted.
