I agree unfortunately. Clearly her sexual positivity or whatever wasn't exactly shared by members of her team. I suppose she was on some kind of power trip and came to the assumption that just because she lives for and is comfortable sexually explicit activity everyone else must be. Does that make her the most evil ******* person to ever exist? no... but she clearly is lacking some self-awarness and is probably a bit self-absorbed and self-centred when it comes to her views/boundaries etc.

Im definitely biased because Beyoncé makes her dancers rehearse for 14 hours before a show. I know it’s excessive but always sounded more like a last minute necessity in the entertainment industry. Heck, I do that too when I’m on a tight deadline.

Im just taking everything with a grain of salt and going to wait to see how this plays out before I make my final judgement 

If she wasn’t really gonna apologize and just gonna be vague without any explanation and blaming the victims, she could’ve at least recorded a Colleen Ballinger-esque apology video with a ukulele. 

Yeah, hopefully the courts gives us more clarity soon. 

She should've elaborated on the employee's problematic behavior on tour that she mentioned.

That's the thing, people are acting surprised that she/her team's response is not good enough, but if she were going to release a good enough explanation or apology, this likely wouldn't have happened in the first place.

 

Think of it this way, she started popping off in 2019. It's been four years. And in four years she had multiple incidents already. Clearly she and her team were delusional enough to believe that this behavior wouldn't affect her. And that's exactly the kind of people who would think this is an appropriate response

I'm not sure how this is going to pan out, but it probably isn't going to look good for Lizzo, even if the court case fails to win the claimed compensation for the plaintiffs. The evidence will be out there for people to judge for themselves.

 

When there are multiple allegations that seem to be quite specific and there are people who are willing to go to court and present evidence, it's a lot harder to brush it off as a disgruntled ex employee, than if it was just one person.

the difference is, is that Lizzo is being legally sued and therefore is very limited in what she can say publicly... its not the same as Colleen

Best case scenario for Lizzo right now is waiting for everything to die down and settling with those dancers out of court. May even have a joint statement with the girls to address things. I don't think the dancers are lying about their stories when the details are so livid and they are even confident enough to be interviewed on live tv. That's ground for slanders right there. Not to mention so many former Lizzo employees came out supporting the girls, so this thing is clearly systematic.

Knowing people always gave her **** for the most vile reasons makes me wanna believe and root for her, but I just can't see truth in this statement.

Like others have pointed out, it's kinda giving "I'm sorry you feel that way".

This. They seemed like disgruntled former employees who were fired probably because they weren’t good enough dancers than some of the others.
